This being a forum, normally indicates the more aware / detailed Owners, so probably not many wrecks.

Have you had an accident or been hit in your Bronco? Was the bodywork performed without issues?
Any trail scars that needed repair from Off-roading?

Curious how the body, frame, suspension, drivetrain and paint came out after repairs?

To I guess answer your questions, I've heard those fancy tricoats can lead to a totaled because of the cost to repaint and match (meaning repaint the whole thing). Someone had a totaled because the floor pan got crunched a little? Some folks got a new frame, though, so it depends. There's a formula and parting a Bronco out can be more profitable for the insurer than fixing it. 💯

There used to be lot of threads on various Broncos getting in accidents and people over/undering whether it'd get totaled, I'm sure they're still around.

I searched a bit before thread… didn’t find much.

I do recall when Bronco G6 was introduced, there were some YouTubes & Reports on poor crash results, unsafe, etc. I haven’t seen / read much since then.

For minor hits, I was thinking the modularity of body and doors would simplify some repairs.

Most crash posts that have been posted on here, the Bronco seems to do really well in, at least in my opinion. The other cars seem to be a lot worse off normally.

Was rear ended at a red light by a lady who was going probably about 30mph. Just got the Ford Collision shop quote for repairs and it’s about 15k.

No serious frame damage reported and both me and wife walked away healthy except for the minor concussion she sustained from the whiplash. All in all I’d say the Bronco held up pretty well.

Outstanding to hear you’re both OK, hope your Wife feels better quickly.

What was other vehicle: car, SUV?
For $15k quote… that tailgate and Quarter panels, Top?

Wife just took out a Tesla with ours, the Tesla was racing from a stop sign and hit the Bronco in the left front bumper.
I did take it to a body shop, but the shops in SoCal are horrible. They wanted to replace all sorts of stuff with a 30% to 40% price mark-up over what anyone can walk off the street and pay. They said they had to use Used and After Market parts, I said no thank you.
While it was at the body shop, I started to receive all sorts of Ford Pass warnings about the front sensors, when I picked it up the Service Light was on. Looks like the Body shop unbolted the bumper with the harness still connected and the pins my be pulled out of the connector.

I fixed the fender this weekend, really small PDR behind the grill, replaced a $21.00 bracket and you couldn't tell it was in a accident. Body shop said that the entire fender needed to be repainted :curse:

Pay no attention to the Fender Flare, it's just laying on the tire.

I need to replace the bumper, Capable was enough to ruin the Model 3's day. I've been on the fence about what winch bumper I wanted, guess I better decide now. Talked to LOD today, seem like good people.
The front skid forced the Tesla under the front, so that has a bend in it, but not much, BFH should fix that.

Thank you! It was a Nissan Rogue SUV that hit us. Their whole front ended was completely gone.

Main damage to the Bronco was tailgate was dented, panels were busted, and bumper was busted. They hit me so hard that I hit the car in front of me a d that car hit the car in front of them. Had some nasty front ended damage as well including bumper, panels, and AC was completely out as well.

Wow… for all the described Ft & Rr damage, it sounds like the cost to repair body isn’t terrible. That’s really a low quote for all that damage.

You two were probably bounced back and forth, Did Air Bags deploy?

Yeah we got absolutely smoked. Everything inside the Bronco flew up to the front and we got whipped around pretty hard. No air bags deployed luckily. Like I said before super impressed with how the Bronco held up.

Great it wasn’t serious and Wife Ok.
Looks like Tesla took on a lot more damage, you can pretty much see the Bronco’s bumper’s indentation in Tesla.

Sorry for the accident, but sounds like it’s an opportunity to add some mods at the same time. No paint needed even better for a DIY.
