Heated Leather Wheel - Any Way to Add After Delivery?

The only part of the install that I am not following is the power connection. When referring to PIN 16 is that from the harness on the HVAC module or the SCCM module or none of the above. I get you need power and ground. Power from Fuse 37. Electrical guru I am not.

FYI - If anyone else is doing this mod you also need to replace the steering wheel bolt as its listed as one time use.

I finally have all the parts. I noticed the pigtail wires are thicmer wire than the add a fuse what gauge wire did you use to connect to the add a fuse?

Doesn't really matter, as long as it's the same or larger gauge than the fuse tap. I had 14 or 16 AWG laying around. The pigtail is a universal part, so the wiring isn't specific to the Bronco or potentially even the heated wheel.

The biggest problem is getting a reliable crimp when the two wires aren't the same size. There are crimp butt connectors that are designed for such a situation. They can also be used to splice in an extra wire, such as two #18 on one send and one #18 on the other.

I live in Arizona near Phoenix and my 26 Stroppe has the heated steering wheel. I have no use for it. I Would like Air Conditioned seats though, but I don’t have those. Oh well.

Not that I disagree that the crimp is the most likely to fail, but I haven't found the two different gauges in the inline heatshrink splices I use are particularly failure prone versus a two different gauge butt splicing which is much more challenging.

I have spent most of the last 3 days trying to get the airbag off. I had it off when I swapped the wheel a few weeks ago and it i came off first try. Is there a chance the airbag is not seated properly? I used my old wheel to figure out where the allen slides to engage the clip but I get no resistance on either side. I can hear the clip but I make zero contact. Thoughts? I am using a 3MM allen key one with a ball and one that is flat.

If I remember right I tried the tiny Allen keys and had better luck with a flathead screwdriver.. why is the airbag coming off again though?
I installed the Rapter wheel before the other parts arrived. I will try the flat head thanks.
