By cab configuration I mean exactly that. If you want to compare the Ranger crew cab to the F-150 crew cab you have to use the dimensions for the correct configuration. Instead what you and others are doing is taking the dimensions for the smallest F-150 and comparing it to the Ranger. These photos below are the F-150 and Ranger that are almost the same length, there is also a 6" difference in width. The new Ranger is NOT the same size as the older F-150, it is almost exactly the same size as the Dakota and nobody has ever tried to argue that the Dakota is a full size truck.

Okay, why not take the Ranger Super Cab? They make that truck as well, here are the Ranger stat comparisons since, apparently cab configuration is soooooo important to know.

Ranger Crew Cab configuration: 211"x78"x71"
Ranger Super Cab configuration: 211"x78x71"

Now, i'm not a well educated man, but those numbers look quite similar.

And now to answer your obtuse point, the Ford F150 for the year 2010 can be had in a configuration that has the exterior dimensions of:

213"x79"x72"

FULL STOP.

Total dimension changes between Ranger and F150 of: 2"x1"x1"

Now, I'm just going to go ahead and agree with you 100%, my point was absolutely invalid and incorrect. A dimension change of 2"x1"x1" is MASSIVE and in no way shape or form could the two vehicles be considered nearly identical in size. One of them is OBVIOUSLY a mid-sized truck and the other is OBVIOUSLY a full sized truck. You have made an argument for which no amount of arguing or logic will refute.

Now if only we all had that spare 2" for the times when it matters most. But then again, it's the same size now isn't it.

Maddening!!! :geek:
There are a few threads on this and some confirmation from "the other site"...via Ford Q&A...which can be debated of course. That if you option the Signature headlights on BB you get the signature (led) tail lights as well.

You keep quoting a Ranger width of the mirrors folded in compared to a F-150 width without mirrors. Very misleading.

Again, you are 100% wrong.

The 2009-2014 F-150 Super Cab with the 6.5' box has a length of 231.9" and a width without mirrors of 79.2"(the Ranger width without mirrors is 73.3"), with the 8' box the length is 250.4". The crew cab with the 5.5' box is also 231.9" and with the 6.5' box is 243.9". If you can't figure out that the F-150 is much larger than the Ranger just by reading the dimensions then maybe you should take a tape measure and a piece of chalk outside and mark it on the ground.

I have a nice little picture saved but I am not gonna post that hahaha...I can send it DM. Of course Ford could change their little minds and then you can burn me at the stake for spreading false info :p:p

I think so too but why doesn't this car have one?

It should be a BL based on tail lights, black flares, and non-blacked out Bronco logo. Steel rear bumpers come standard on BL and BD only and I haven't seen a way to add them to any other model, front yes, rear, no.

These pre-production cars are driving me nuts!

This is a BB with the upgraded signature lights.

As the term "confirmation bias" has quickly gained mainstream usage, and therefore inaccurate over-usage, i'll point out it's being used incorrectly here.

limited roof inventory is in no way a theory or belief, and certainly not one that only I have. When something has been stated as fact by the manufacturer to the world via press release and widely documented. Further evidenced through Ford's statements regarding roof availability for MY21 and MY22 Broncos.

It's a lovely term when used correctly, and it uses a long word followed by something that sounds exotic, so you always win an argument using it! It's not nearly as popular as incorrectly using the word "like" in modern conversation or, sadly, in text now, but it's correct usage is minimal as is the case here.

I'm not normally the pedantic type but to the best of my to my knowledge tops being the culprit of delayed delivery is speculation from industry analysts and journalists. I'm fairly on top of the news about this thing and I haven't seen an official statement by Ford that names a particular component or supplier being responsible for delays.

At the Goldman Sachs conference that happened in in early December, it was stated that a supplier was having COVID related delays.

Not long after the letter sent to Bronco specialists and dealer principals said:
I understand from supplier communications with Ford that the Bronco two-door and four-door models are delayed 6 more weeks. Can you confirm if it’s a development or supplier issue? This is tied to a supplier issue. COVID has had a significant effect on a number of Bronco suppliers, which we are not naming.

The whole connection to Webasto and the hard top was done by industry analysts and journalists. While it may be credible, it's not an official statement. Even with a good deal of correlation (ie: modular roofs being late availability), it's still a theory. A theory in which comments about just how bad the supply chain of hard tops must be because of new photos showing Bronco's without them.
