Let's take this classic sharp body lines and overall square shape and put these giant round bulges on the side.... I don't like bushwacker anyway with the overplayed out exposed hardware, but these are EXTRA yuck.
Did you consider the safety aspect these provide? An extra foot of crumple zone for side impacts and they also work as safety pontoons for water hazards.
Whoever designed these should be fired, and their supervisor too. These look terrible. If today was April fool's day I'd say this was a really bad practical joke.
You boys just all decided to go in. 12 pages of, I don't know really.
Think these flares are for larger tires and would make a good off road specific swap. Think Ford is just testing them.
Don't be surprised if these are flares for the Warthog. Please don't flame me for saying so, it's a theory and it's loosey.
They seem durable and built to take a banging while protecting bodywork. This is an assumption, but would make sense if trying to stay away from aluminum or steel.
I could see putting on a set of these before heading out, then swapping my standards once home and keep those only dealing with normal hazards; shopping carts at Publix and Whole Foods.
