New generation of cars (or even new model years) dont typically get these juicy financing rates through Ford Credit. Only when the car is later in the model year or lifecycle. I doubt there will be any incentive to finance through Ford Credit. A credit union will likely have better rates.
I agree but Its not meant to please people who care about real vs fake engine noises. Its meant to provide a subconscious feeling of "sporty" or "muscley" to the buyers who dont care which is the majority of people who buy cars. Hence, why manufacturers keep adding these systems to vehicles...
Good read and just goes to show to listen to the people who designed and manufactured the engine in question. I'll just follow what the Ford manual says instead of listening to the armchair engineers on the internet
This would be a real bummer if they can't crack it. I honestly look forward to the day I get a tune as much as the day I'll take delivery. Tunes on Ecoboosts really wake them up and completely change the experience.
Honestly, as long as it's a sound symposer tube which uses real induction noise off the intake manifold, I'd like it. I enjoyed the one in my Focus ST. Once I put an exhaust on it I had to get a symposer delete but it was cheap and easy to install. Nobody would be able to hear it outside of the...
I've worked with the Jeep wiring a lot and I can tell you none of the wiring is sealed above the water fording line in the vehicle interior. It's a cost thing and I garuntee Ford did the same. I'm sure there's some water resistance just based on coverings but trust me, you don't want to get any...
You can trade in a vehicle with a lot of equity. You won't have to pay sales tax on the trade-in value as long as you apply it to the new vehicle purchase.
I've heard some states don't allow this so make sure you know the laws beforehand.
Well I think I'm a Base model convert. Was going to get a big bend because the 2.3l manual was standard on the 4dr but now I think I'm going for the 2.7l auto. Build and price will give a better idea of the cost difference between the two. I'll probably convert the base steelies into winter...
That price does not include install. If you want to maintain the Ford Performance warranty you have to have it installed by a Ford Certified Dealer. Probably about $100 - $200 for the install depending on the dealer.
I already have a dart in one hand and my cell in the other! How the hell am I gonna drop three gears and gun it past them I'm my 4cyl 5000lb car and press this thing at the same time? ?
I wasn't to worried about cargo space because I plan to get cross bars for my cargo box but this is a really cool area for storage! Definitely going to put my normal kit of air pump, tools, and first aid under there so it doesn't fly around in the trunk.
I'm not going to hotrod it but definitely going to modify it. Tuning, intake, exhaust, and shifter. I didn't want to bring up lowering a bronco because I thought I would be crucified on here. If it can be done tastefully then I may consider it.
I feel like I may regret jumping on the 2.3...
The silly thing about all the complaints about 4 cyls is they typically come from people who used to drive iron block V8s with less than 200hp and a much less 'fun' torque curve...
I plan to sell my 13' Corvette Grand Sport next spring plus my daily for the bronco. The two seater doesn't work with the newest human addition to the family this June so a manual Bronco checks a lot of boxes for me and the family.
@attworth in post #15 basically spells out what the break in will be at least for the 2.3l. I couldn't imagine thinking I'm more knowledgeable than the engineers who designed and built this engine. ?♂️
My wife definitely prefers the Bronco Sport over the Bronco which is fair I think. If the capabilities of a Bronco is not appealing I can understand how the Sport is preferred. Both look fantastic IMO.
She doesn't believe I'll follow through with getting the Bronco when they start deliveries...
