I’m part of the 12/6 Build week “lost batch”. Since 12/6 was the last 2021 build week I’m assuming parts where prioritized to ensure the 12/15 2022 start date. No way Ford was going to miss that date. Some of the 12/6 build week Broncos are now shipping so hopefully I’ll get my 2021 OBX Bronco before 2023s.
I thought I had read about a "lost batch".
Thanks.

I'm still wondering about all the VIN's that were getting frantic in Sep, Oct and Nov due to numerous build date push backs.
I'm just curious if anybody had a 21 VIN and got contacted late in the year or whenever,... "sorry , we can't build that now, re-order a 2022."

I've not seen any discussion on that.

Got my email from Bredemann Ford in Glenview, IL with a 3/7 build date. I was a 7/18 reservation for 2dr, manual, lux and heavy duty bumper. I emailed them Tuesday to remove the Tow Capability.

Crazy for only ordering 36 days ago.
I ordered a non constrained OBX 12/13/21 and was scheduled by 12/16/21 for 2/14 build week. Needless to say I was shocked but super happy since I had tried to avoid constraints. I really didn’t have any on my wish list that were got to haves. Tow would have been nice, but I’ll install, I’ll do my own lift, have an aftermarket bumper on order, already have the tires and wheels ready to put on. Just needed the Bronco

Congrats…I see some folks are making the right moves to get their bronco. Congrats to all that got scheduled! Sounds like a lot that have been waiting a while

From my understanding they built all the 2021's that were given VIN's. I had a vin since april or may and didn't go into production until late sept. My Mom's Bronco is one of the last 2021 models. It was built 12/14 and is still stuck at the plant.

I never thought a high package badlands would get scheduled this fast.

My dealer confirmed that I was not scheduled. Looks like I’m ordering a JLU Rubicon. If Ford isn’t able to fulfill my original order within a year (which is next Wednesday), while they are scheduling walk in orders in front of me, then Ford is not a company I want to do business with.

OK, I broke down and sent my dealer a text asking for an update. Not expecting an answer right away because the "Bronco Specialist" is usually off on Thursday, figures  :sneaky:
Well played, "Bronco Specialist". I wouldn't want to work on Disappointment Thursday either.

I think the Lux is more of a constraint vs High. Tow, Lux, Mic for sure seem to be major constraints. Folks that have changed seem to be getting scheduled and non constrained builds seems to be getting scheduled quick…if dealers have allocation

Dealer allocation plays a big role IMO. Also, depends on what your dealer has in the order bank waiting to schedule. For instance, my store had 3 "stock" units (non orders just fulfilling our allocation) previewing last week before the delayed scheduling. I took 3 more order over the weekend and because they were soft tops they replaced the stock units this week when they scheduled. This is all speculation but I watched it happen in WBDO.

I have not seen any discussion on that either. I do know there are a lot off 2021 VINs still saying “In Production”. They went down the line and then put aside for various reason, (QC, parts shortage, etc.). Ford is not providing specifics. Customer Service keeps saying in production as we continue to watch the EDDs move out.

I think the big takeaway from today is this. I’ll be placing at least one more order with another dealer outside of my area. I feel the reservation system was just a marketing tool and stock market pad for Ford at this point that they are only mildly interested in seeing through.

So is it safe to assume my dealer's current allocation has been exhausted due to non-constrained reservations holders and walk-in orders if other WT orders with the same constraints as mine but later reservation dates got scheduled today?

If so, this could/will be a never-ended cycle of getting passed over until Ford decides to stop this nonsense and fill its reservation holders' orders regardless of a dealer's assigned allocations - as thousands of others in this forum have already said.

I'm with a high-volume dealer in the Atlanta-area who claimed that they were expecting plenty of allocation to get my day-2 res built this year when I reordered MY22, but that just means they probably have a very high number of people walking in and placing orders for Broncos that are more likely to be built than my WT. I knew the day I started seeing WT's being built with the same constraints as mine with later res dates was going to really annoy me and here we are.....but congrats to those who are getting theirs built.
This is exactly the scenario that scares the đź’© out of me.
