These new heavy-duty tie rod kits are listed under two different part numbers in the Ford Performance catalog – M-3200-TRL for the left side, and M-3200-TRR for the right side. Both are priced at $70 each, and are designed to replace the factory tie rods – but are also specifically designed to work with the upgraded steering rack that debuted back in February 2024.

So you’re saying I can spend more on beefier tie rods that will only increase the chances that I will have to spend even more on a new steering rack? Sign me up buddy!
These are replacement severe duty tie rods. It’s not an upgrade for anything

These tie rods are not an upgrade for anything? What’s the point then? I mean, I already know the point is for Ford to make more money, but what’s the point for the customer to install these beefier tie rods, if they’re not an upgrade for anything?

I think he is saying - If you have HOSS 3.0 with the upgraded rack, then these tie-rods are the replacements but on sale at a lower price.

People break Tie-Rods so alot of people have replacements on hand.
(OP Please correct me if I am wrong)

They’re just a lower cost replacement set for the severe duty rack, instead of buying them for $150 each from a dealer.

So it’s a “lower cost replacement set for the severe duty rack” and also “not a replacement for anything.” Got it.

People are going to buy these thinking they’re “solving” the weak link. That’s all I’m saying, and obfuscating the point is, pointless.

There is no confusion here. Have SD steering, these are trail spares.

So this only applies to individuals with Sasquatch and bl 24 and above? So people who don’t heavy duty steering can use these as spares? Or they can and it’s not a smart idea cause your moving the weak point?
