For 18s, I am in between
275/70/r18 = 33.2 x 10.8 <<Very popular. Probably LT KO2s @ $260/ea
285/70/r18 = 33.7 x 11.2 <<Very limiting options here. $350/ea for Nittos

Although the latter may be too big for optional 4.27 gearing on OBX. Getting awfully close to sasquatch at 34.4, plus there could be some rubbing there. Thats a decent increase over stock 32.1.

EXCELLENT!!!! HUGE THANKS TO LEGEND.

So this image was almost spot on -
fd2e6ca5-3699-4752-87e0-9584dd971382-jpeg.jpg

FOR EVERYONE'S BENEFIT:
The steely BD tires are 10.4" wide, and the OBX tires are 10.0" wide. We have confirmed 55 offset for the steelies, and 1" gap from upper control arm. That means OBX has 1.2" gap, if that wheel is also a 55 offset like the rest of the Ranger 7.5" wide wheels. This also makes sense because that means the sasquatch would have 0.6-7" clearances from the upper control arms (which ties to the photo of the sasquatch suspension that everyone is freaking out about - it looks to be between 0.5-1").

That means an OBX with a 275/70/R18 (10.8" wide, 33.2" tall) tire would safely be 0.8" from the control arm. Heck, you may even be able to go a bit bigger. Although, I would start to be a little concerned about rubbing on the front bumper. Steel bumper on the OBX looks to give you slightly more clearance BTW.

This feels good. Nailed it at 1" extra clearance, and nailed the 4mm extra lift from BL to SAS that Ford confirmed.
So this means a KO2 at 285/70x17 will fit on the BD Steelie but 305 will not, its getting too close to rubbing. BUT a 285/75x17 at almost 34" but 11.3 wide could work.

If the 285/75s work there are a decent few to pick from, KO2/Wildpeak/Open Country/Discoverer for $250 or less a tire. Need to check the crash bar distance first.

I hate to be redundant so apologies if this was addressed. I'm debating between SAS and no SAS. I love the 35's but frankly I would be comfortable with 33's and could save roughly $3K in the process.

My basic question is if I get an OBX and go aftermarket 17x7.5 or 17x8 wheels with 33" KO2's. Based on the discussion here it seems I'd be pretty safe.

I do understand we need to wait for the backspacing and offset specifications before ordering wheels, but this is a major consideration for me when ordering the Bronco with or without SAS.

Thanks for the help!

LEGEND just confirmed the offset of the BD wheel so we are looking pretty good to do 285s at 33" maybe even a tad taller. Those crash bars are concerning.

Hey was meaning to ask you, what exactly measured 8.25"? The wheel is 7.5" wide.

I think that is inside the bead measurement, outside to outside is 8.25"

Legend- Do you think 55mm of offset is consistent across the BD, BL, WT line? or is there some differences?

I've identified our next biggest hurdle. See tube bar by the sill

Ford Bronco 12/13 UPDATE - Updated control arms not just for Sasquatch 33s fitting OBX - 33.2x11.2 (275/70r18) close to max size after Ranger testing 51-2021-bronco-black-diamond-soft-top-4-door-7-

Definitely. There has already been some discussion that went sideways on that, but yes it's a factor. @LEGEND , so you have any info that maybe Squatch versions doesn't have either while BL has one of them, and the rest have both? Or do they all have both?

Awesome thanks! Although black diamond is on a modified Sasquatch HOSS suspension so not sure how telling that will be for a big bend / OBX, but any info helps!
Why do you think the BD is a modified HOSS instead of just the stock suspension that BB or OBX comes with?

Better question is whats the dimension from tire to back tube bar. lol. Dont want to send legend back in the snow, since he's the man.

I was previously wrong. I didnt know enough about the black diamond trim until i started researching the wheel last night when Legend said they had one in the lot.

In regards to the tube bars, here is a photo of the OBX

Ford Bronco 12/13 UPDATE - Updated control arms not just for Sasquatch 33s fitting OBX - 33.2x11.2 (275/70r18) close to max size after Ranger testing 5AF521FA-7A8B-4CB2-9BAD-B0B40156ED85

On my phone I maxed out the brightness and scaled the area behind the front wheel. I see 4.2” to the side step. Playing it safe and assuming it’s 4” with the tube bar at 2”...

Here’s what 33.2 - 275/70r18s look like compared to stock OBX wheels. The tire clears the bars by 5/8s of an inch when measuring the turning circle. 32.1s on the top, 33.2s on the bottom

there’s no way SAS has these bars. It wouldn’t work
