Hi all.

My OBX non-sas is scheduled to be shipped Oct 18th, so I am trying to order my wheel/tire combo now so it’s here in time. These are the rims I have picked out:

https://www.performanceplustire.com...uBfolu_5hrc5Pzl8Ozoido3u4d0KLmzUaAlvKEALw_wcB

17 x 8.5 and 0 offset

My question is, what is the largest size tire I can safely run on these? Ideally I would like to run 285/70r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Just looking for some recommendations.

Thanks!

I have a stock Big Bend and am running 285/70/17s with no issues/rubbing.
Those 0 offset wheels will give you about 3" of poke on each side past the fender flares with those tires but if you like that look should be fine.

Would a +25 offset reduce the poke a little bit? I want them to pop out but I’m not sure if I want it to poke out that much.

Do you think I could safely run 285s on these rims?

What tires did you buy? I’m looking to upgrade my BB tires and am looking at KO2s and Falken Wildpeaks.

Kenda Klever AT2. LT285/70 17 E Load.
12k miles, have run them off-road, rain, snow, highway - best tires I’ve ever owned and would buy again.
