After 2 month of research, shopping around, and tons of support (shout out to the folks in this forum for all the help and inspiration!) I’m nearly DONE with the mods for my blacked out 2025 OBX. Meet RANGO 🦎

1. The Order: We ended up ordering our rig from a dealer here in the Tampa area, mainly because we wanted to get the shadow black painted hard top, painted fenders, and the all black interior (you would be shocked how f’ing hard it was to find this combination off the lot). Order process was super smooth, placed our order in May, picked up the vehicle in late July. Fortunately we have a family member who works for for so we got the X plan pricing that helped us to save a buck!

2. The Mods: after a few weeks of driving it stock, we knew we wanted to black this thing out front to back and give it a more aggressive (but still luxury) look to it. We ended up doing a 2inch spacer lift, paired with 285/70/R17 SL Nitto Recon Grapplers and 17x9 fuel Trigger rims (+1 offset). So far, we absolutely LOVE the look of it and it literally drives the same as stock. We are likely going to add (1) some mud flaps to the front to help with some of the spray from the bigger tires and (2) a light tint to the front windows, and (3) blacked out letters for the front grill, but outside of that we’re pretty happy with it all!

3. The Details: Don’t have pictures for all these add-ons yet, but we also made it a point to get the fine details right to make this thing really special. From the smoked Form taillights (HIGHLY recommend these!), to the Bronco branded rubber cargo mats, the back seat covers, branded cup holder coasters, and even tire valve stem caps, we are on a mission to make this thing one of a kind.

Here’s some pics and inspiration! What do you all think? Let me know if you have any mods or suggestions and thanks again to everybody for sharing their experiences and info! Learn a ton from these forums every day.

You are going to want to get trim to fit rubber bumper to support the spare tire.
thanks! Will look into it! Our new wheels and tires are only running about 75lbs (compared to 65lbs that the factory wheels and tires are), so a light reinforcement like this is a good idea!

Looks good. The painted top is light years ahead of the molded gray thing in my eyes.
Totally agree - I am a long time jeep owner prior to converting to the bronco fam, so when I saw ford was doing painted tops I knew immediately that I was going to go for that over the MIC tops. So far so good. Planning on taking a few of the panels off this weekend so hopefully we don’t scratch them up too much

Been to off-roadeo? Make sure you get signed up. You may want to get that thing dirty one day!

The stock wheel/tires press against the rubber stops on the tail gate. The offset of your new wheels put all the strain on the center carrier. It's much better to spread the contact out, hence longer rubber stops.

I would definitely recommend the ford tune. You can install it with a laptop in 30 minutes and make the bronco just that more fun to drive. Have to use 91+ but worth it.

Increases horsepower and torque but more importantly firms up transmission shift points so bronco is much more responsive. With bigger tires makes a huge difference.
Will definitely look into this. Thanks for the tip!

Black out the rear Bronco. That’s what’s next for me. I built My OBX SAS similarly and a local dealer just happened to have exactly it.

This is sweet! Wheels and tires come with it stock or did you upgrade??
