Was able to attend a couple days of the Cal4Wheel Death Valley Experience this year. Didn’t do any of the hard rated trails this year but looking forward to doing those next year. It was hotter than hell out there (during the March heatwave here in SoCal) so it was 100+ everyday. Stovepipe Wells was the base of operations. Also my first runs with my new Bilstein 6112s and Icon Delta Joint Pro UCAs.
Day 1 of trails was around the Chloride Cliffs/Chloride City ending in Beaty to refuel.
Day 2 was 250+ miles going to the southern part, out east, up to Stateline and coming back.
I had never been to Death Valley before and there was truly nothing like it. Can’t wait for next year’s event and if you’re in California, highly recommend being a part of Cal4Wheel and going to these awesome events.
