1500 for ding,windshield, tire and ceramic coat?

My dealer is trying to sell me a package including wheel/tire, windshield, ding and dent protection and full 5 year ceramic ceramic coat for 1595$
Is it a good deal or no?

It's a ok deal. The wheel/tire, windshield, ding and dent protection can be had for about $500 if you get a deal on it. So your paying $1000 for Ceramic coating and I don't think you will get that good of Ceramic Job at the dealership.

How much is you deductible on your comprehensive insurance? Look at the exclusions on the policy the dealer is offering. The dealer stuff is rarely worth the paper it is written on.

Couple things I'd like to mention are that:

• Ceramic coatings applied by dealerships normally aren't the best quality or done very well
• Ceramic coatings (from anywhere) don't really last 5 years unless you are always in a garage and apply a top coat every 3-6 months (unless that's included with the package)

I'd pass and look into ceramic coating the car on your own if that's something you think you could do. If you've ever waxed a car, you can ceramic coat one. If you can have the dealership skip washing the car it'd be better as they wont induce any swirl marks or add any wax that could prevent a ceramic coating from sticking.

The price isn't half bad however I wouldn't even consider any of that from a dealership. If you want protection go else where

IF the ceramic coat being applied at the dealership is top notch, then that's a really great deal. But it likely is not, so I'd say it's just an "okay" deal.

I paid half that just for windshield/tires....which wasn't bad. Tho' I added the hood deflector and 500 for windshield coating....amazing how many dings there are at 10k miles. Don't know how many would have cracked it, but happy with belt. suspenders. and extra rope to boot!

If you're thinking of doing any PPF or windshield protection film, I'd recommend thinking about that first, since those can't go over the top of the ceramic coating, but ceramic coating can go over those films. This is the windshield film that I used:
