I just towed my teardrop trailer from the east coast to steamboat springs Colorado. Average mpg for the trip is 18.5. My normal mpg is 20.5 over 15,000 miles. I'm pretty pleased with that result. The teardrop weighs around 1000lb.

Sounds about right; I avg around 22.5 after 9500 miles, towing my 1800 lb teardrop is about 18.9, 4 dr, 2.3, MT. Most of my driving is between 4500' and 7800' altitude.

Man Iā€™m doing something wrong! Is the MPG diff from 2dr to 4dr that much?!? On a good day on the highway Iā€™ll see 17 at sub 70 MPH. Cityā€¦ 15 tops. I just drove 400 miles towing a 6x12 enclosed trailer with a Ducati and saw 13.3 avg per the lie-o-meter on the dash.

Overall I donā€™t care what the MPG is. I didnā€™t buy a Bronco for its economy. But the only time Iā€™ll see 20+ is downhill šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Without towing, the wife's '23 2.7 4dr BL squatch, hard top averages 18mpg combined city/highway. When I'm behind the wheel, I average 19mpg combined city/highway. Me towing our 3200lb offroad camper trailer averages 15.5-16mpg highway and I live in CO so everywhere we tow it is via mountain passes.

On her '21 2.7 4dr BL non-squatch, soft top it averaged 0.5mpg less compared to the '23 squatch/hard top in all scenarios mentioned above.

Mine is non SAS. I think that is where a lot of the big mpg differences are coming from. 2dr to 4dr doesn't make much difference. It's really about rotating weight of the wheels and air resistance.
