Our Bronco is the wife's daily driver. She drive it off the lot and I got to drive the long freeway drive home of about 100 miles. I got 17 MPG. It now has about 700 miles on it.

I got in it tonight and the history shows 11.2 MPG. I asked her if that's normal and she said yes, that's just what it gets.

I took off from a stop and put the pedal to the floor and it took off fast with a nice engine growl. I laid off it, looked at her, and noticed she had a big smile.

I asked if that is why it shows 11.2 MPG. She just said yes.

For those of you that don't have yours yet, it's worth the wait. For those that are complaining about the gas mileage, I think I know the problem.

My worst tank so far 12.9, but lots of idle time in sub zero weather.

This is the average I have gotten with my 2.7 SAS Outer Banks since driving it off the dealer lot on November 29th. I drive in small towns and country roads in Northern WV and southeastern Ohio. 20 MPG is not bad at all.

When you drive it like you stole it, gas mileage will suffer 😎. The only time my ‘95 Lightning ever got over 12 was on the highway. But hey, she’s smiling so you got that!

When my wife drives my F-150, I lose 2 mpg. Same truck, same roads.
I'm seeing a pattern.

So far since day 2 of reservations my overall mpg is undefined. But I am never sure if that is better or worse than 11.2. I think that figure will update over time as It travels more than 0 miles using 0 gallons but with this launch who knows

I thought you might notice that. I set it there for the last 3 miles of my commute. The local police will pull you over for just a couple miles over the speed limit. My daily commute has about about 8 miles of driving through small towns with several stop lights, 9 miles of flat road and 18 of steep hills and country roads. There is a variety for sure. I tend not to speed much anymore. If I get another ticket I could lose my license. Highway driving over 70 mph causes the mileage to drop.

As someone who has traveled those areas fairly extensively that's a decent return on the mpg.

My 2.7 non SQ Badlands has average 19.5 overall. Just a hair below my last 2.7 F150. The F150 had some stuff to improve mileage (under body tray, air damn on the bumper). Overall I am happy with the performance/mileage trade off.
