I wish they had, too—like the Black Diamond tires and wheels, except silver steelies instead of black—but when I get my Base I’m going to swap to 30” all-terrain tires and call it complete.
That sounds perfect! The Base reminds me so much of my 1971 Bronco - I just love it.

2DR Big Bend with 2.7 Squatch is 44K
I added the mid pkg and tow pkg as options I would want over the Base to the BB and BD both came out to $48k and a WT is $50k. Couldn't justify paying that much for a few options, so I'm going to add my own tow pkg and will see what things might be unlocked with Forscan.

Base trim is a status symbol, it’s next level. All opting out will never know.

With that color and stance, it'll probably be lonely for a long time...
If Bronco had something like the GOAT mode dial that changed body colors with the flick of a wrist, I'd wear Iconic some of the time. My wife bought a Corsair in Iconic Silver a month ago...and its a lovely color. Somewhat ubiquitous - but so are most options on Bronco's palate.

Ford definitely kept the Base unappealing to the majority of buyers. Unless you go Squatch it's a tough sell
I'm assuming you are talking about the 2dr, and for that I agree. But on the 4dr, the value of the base compared to the BB isn't there. I am not getting Sasquatch, it's just not a good fit for what I will use it for. If I was to purchase a base 4dr I would have immediately spent at least $2K for wheels/tires, had a significantly uncalibrated speedo (with no help in sight for that, something I've researched and discussed with aftermarket vendors/Ford/etc. extensively), 3.73 open diff, no Cactus Gray, and a bunch of extras like tint and fog lights to still buy. And if I wanted to re-gear and get a locker at least another $2K. When you add all that up the Big Bend makes a lot of sense.
BB definitely makes sense if you
Aftermarket "could" provide a flare solution for those of us that go base and reduce the "appearance" of the oversize wheel wells on our choice. Certainly could be much much more stylish than the strange aftermarket flares we have seen.
I don't think the wheel clearance looks bad.
265/75x16..The perfect tire size IMO!
Will they fit on the base rims?

Yes, they will work nicely on a 7 to 8 " rim. The BD has a tire with the same external dimensions (albeit on 17" rims), on 7.5' rims

The difference is $6000 once you add the rear locker. That is 20% of the Base Bronco's price. All I want is the $500 rear locker. I don't want any of the other stuff. I'll just have to get by because I'm not paying $6000 for a $500 locker. Personally, there is no value going from Base to Big Bend besides that.
Amen

For some MY22 wishful thinking..

You can order a rear locker on the "base" (XL) version of the Ranger
$595 as part of FX2 package
$420 stand alone.

You can also order a rear locker on the "base" (XL) version of the F150 in various gear ratios..
$420 for 3.31
$470 for 3.55
$570 for 3.73
.. or get it as part of the ~$1k FX4 package.

So there is precedence of Ford offering it on "base" trims. Hopefully it was just something that didn't make it for MY21 but will be a MY22 option on Base Bronco?

As a side note.. it also shows that there isn't that much to be worried about on gear ratio's. Going up or down a bit in tire size will not be a big deal at all.

My truck has 3.73 with 33's and the 2.7 with 10A trans and it will light up the rear tires no problem. Partially due to a featherweight aluminum bed I am sure.. but it goes like stink.

A Base with similar weight and the same 2.7, 3.73 and 33's will surprise many at how fast it actually is. Especially with rear seat, doors and top removed.

Methinks there will be a lot of cars surprised at stoplight races

Looks like my order, minus the racks and options that I added. I like it!

Especially with a Squatch and 4.7 gearing.. with base wheels/tires and the 2.7 might be able to light up all 4

I would love to see Ford test the base (2 door and 4 door) on the trails. It is bound to be a beast even with the small tires.

It is almost as if those complaining about the 30s and the wheel wells has never seen an F-150 before.
Lol, They need to eyeball a F250 XL work truck some time also!!!
