Hey all, hoping for any input here.

I was reversing out of the driveway this evening and my bronco randomly cut out while reversing but I hit the gas and it fired back up on its own.

Than after the return, short drive to the ice cream shop and back the car died again, this time I had to restart the engine.

It fired back up which was good but makes me wonder about hitting the highway tomorrow to head to work.

Anyone else have a random shut down? Battery seems securely connected.

That sounds like a pretty big safety issue. Maybe a bad alternator? No clue, but you should have Ford look at it straight away. If that were to happen on a highway (there is a thread about this), you'd be in big trouble.

Is it a manual?

If you use the gas pedal to start a backup, sounds like your auto shut off. Try disabling it by turning off the button.
