Hold on to your shorts fellas, the upgrades will come, they did a lot of upgrades to that 4 banger from the factory.

It doesn't look like it took long for the aftermarket to adapt when this engine came to the Mustang last year, so I'm hopeful.

I just have this itch I need to scratch.
Spend your money elsewhere. countless possibilities. scratch your intake itch when something is commercially available. And shame on AFE for doing zero research before they added the 2025 to the date range. Google will tell you. This forum will tell you. At least try AFE.

Usually, pipes are a gimmick with any company that will not post a before and after dyno change in performance. I ask a lot of intake pipe companies and exhaust companies this. Usually they have no proof of their 5~15% claims.

Yeah I have a hard time believing there's any gains to be made with intake pipes.

I'm hoping you get an answer to this. The 2.3L is completely new for '25 and there doesn't seem to be any options out there for intakes yet. It doesn't help that Ford didn't advertise this change at all.
It's not Ford's responsibility to inform aftermarket vendors of changes. The onus is on the vendor to ensure product compatibility for subsequent model years.

Ford did promote the updated design of the 2.3 before the order banks opened.

I enjoy the sound that comes with a quality intake. So personally, ill be getting one when they finally release one for the 25 and up regardless of actual gains. As long as there isn't a hp loss and you can get a better intake sound, it's worth it for me.

It's cool that you like the sound, and I get that. Unless you are going to dyno it yourself how do you know that there is no loss since the company won't performance test their engine mod?

i will say, i think its a safe assumption that a less restrictive, larger, and more free flowing intake wont cause a HP loss. Just maybe a very negligible gain...more of a butt dyno feel good gain.

I just got my Injen intake in today, as you can guess I am here with an issue too, 25' 2.3L. and the air temp sensor is completely different as well. Extreme Terrian is looking at my details with the Injen team but I can tell you for a fact as well this one won't work eiter. Whomp Whomp. Hopefully someone figures it out quickly and they can glady take our monies! HA!

Luckily I had come to this forum right before I ordered an Injen intake for my 25 base squatch. Also luckily It was one of the parts I was most on the fence with which way to go so was last on my list. Since my order took 6 months, I have a spare room full of parts to install while I wait for, I'm thinking S&B now, to make one for 25. Meanwhile I replaced the stock filter with K&N just... cuz.

I appreciate it, I will hold off. I just ordered new headlights and tail lights. I had the MBRP exhaust installed yesterday and now I’m just itching for more lol.
Which headlights and tails did you go with? I’m itching to pull the trigger on Morimoto rgb’s but I keep thinking with my wallet lol. A drunken night will come in the near future though, I’m sure 😂😂
