Well, they do have rear vents, but they are under the seats if I remember correctly, it's why the rear seat area always stayed reasonably cool despite the lack of obvious vents.

I knew there at least was heating vents under the front seats. But you know what I mean about more effective (cooling) rear console-located vents.

Seems like folks in the market for a new Badlands are the real winners here. Like others have mentioned, I don't think there was a need to differentiate between rock crawling and desert running trims. This became especially apparent when the HD rack was made available for the WT but not the BL so the merge makes a ton of sense.

I know everyone hates on the gray shades but I'm excited to see Marsh Gray and Desert Sand on the road. Would love to see Ford bring back Cyber Orange though!

I don't really remember ever having a vehicle with center rear vents to know why this raises ire for some. Rarely do I have anyone in the back of my 2 door but no one's ever complained about the lack of A/C back there. The rear under seat vents do double duty for heat and air and mine apparently do their job that it's a non-issue for me.

Edit ... disregard ... the two doors don't have rear vents!

You are correct black dimond package does add them to the big bend base and outerbanks do not now.

July/August in Beaufort/Parris Island (Port Royal Naval Station). the cool air feels good back there in the second row.

You do realize that there are no under seat vents on the 2-dr?

I guess I didn't and honestly never looked ... So I guess it's really a non issue to me then. Seriously, never had anyone complain and yes, SC is hot and humid more than it's cold so the A/C must be doing something right.

Ok, so I have read 16 pages and there is not nearly enough bitching about the 2 door. So here goes...
So the most rock crawl focused, most capable version does not get the 2.7?! I thought this was 'merica? We want the most nimble (2dr), sway bar disconnecting, biggest tire, MOST POWER, sumbitch we can get from the factory!

What kind of 3rd grade reading level, fingers in their ears, noodle brains came up with this winner of an idea?!

It's a weird omission for sure. The duct work is there from the transmission tunnel. But they don't come through the floor whether it is the washout floor or carpet for those trims that had it.

No concern of mine as the seats haven't been up in over a year. I'm just too lazy to do the full rear seat delete.

I was going to hold on upgrading till 25 but honestly, I'm not seeing anything that excites me.
*Stroppe and Free Wheeling is a very niche market.
*Heritage Edition is just a recolored Big Bend option. Dropping two door was a mistake. It would be nice to add a LUX option to it and make it a middle ground between Big Bend and OBX/BL.
*Everglade could have been a BL package option too.

Color options aren't great either in my opinion.

Wonder if this'll make the remaining 23/24 2dr 2.7's on lots more desirable. Does feel like the limitations in model and packaging are swirling the 2dr around the drain. Will we find out the Base is only 2dr but limited in total? Seems more likely a 4dr. Eh, this seems very lazy Ford with only the Stroppe as a fun option added.

Well, I think we 2 Door purists knew this would be the plan all along and jumped when we did. Nothing wrong with the 2.3, but I’m happy that I have my 2 Door 2.7 Badlands for sure.

Truth is, the take rate is low and mostly for the enthusiast crowd, which is I guess why the Stroppe Edition. Problem with it is that it‘s likely too pretty for many to want to wheel. I fear this package will be mostly picked up by those who think they’re collecting something.

In the end, the 2.3 is a good choice, but squeezing the 2 Door is sad to see, but was predictable by most of us.

Coming from a VW GTI absolutely the brakes are very different, but there is also an extra 2,000 lbs so it never bothered me.

Same here. The brakes on my '23 2.7 OBX are wildly different than my GTI, but like you I figured it's a heavy truck--and they DO work well.
