I have the exact same setup on my Jeep (tires and suspension).

I started with the 34/10.5r17 and later switched to the 285/75s because the former was easily a full 1" shorter than advertised. Everyone warned me they would come up short once mounted, and they were right.
Are the 285/75s wider than the 34/10.5r17?
I want the tires no have no poke on BL wheels.

Yes. They are wider by the numbers, but if you’re worried about how wide they’ll be on a vehicle there are many variables.

Stock tires on BL are 285 width, so any 285 will sit in the same place on the same wheels.

Squatch tires are 315 width, but the wheels have different backspacing to fit the extra width under the Bronco, but then you need the wider fenders as well.

I'm after a taller and skinny'ish tire 34 or 35 for non Sasquatch BL.

Ive been looking for the same thing for my Jeep for a long time. The 34/10.5 isn’t very tall at all. It’s closer to 32”

The best tire I’ve found that’s 34/35 skinny is 285/75r17. Same width, but taller. Basically a 34.

When you get to 35” you’re into a 315 width which is no longer skinny.

There is *a* 35/10.5r17 (i think) from a single manufacturer that people like putting on their Tacoma’s. It came out last year. I don’t have any experience with it, but it is an E series tire... which is pretty stiff for a vehicle like the Bronco.

::EDIT::

here’s that super tall skinny one:

Correction; this size is a D load range.

Well known tire company when it comes to dirt bikes. I’d heavily consider it but those are some stiff, heavy tires. 63-64lbs a piece (vs the 50lbs of the 285/70r17 stock BL KO2’s) which isn’t an insignificant amount spinning out at your corners unsprung. Reviews seem good though.

Thank you very much for the detailed reply.
I'll be going with 287/75/17 KO2s and looks like e E load is the only choice.

I really like the size of those on my Jeep (i actually I’ve the Coopers in that size). They’re just heavy and stiff.

As long as you know what you’re getting into (an informed consumer) I say go for it!

;)

The overland concept has the Sasquatch 35's (LT315/70R17), but it is NOT lifted like the Sasquatch package.
So yes, 285/75/17 will fit without modification.

2 points to clarify here:

1. Wrong, this is not on The squatch 315/70s tires. This rig is on BFG 35 x 12.5 Tires which are actually slightly bigger than the squatch tires, have a different, more aggressive tread pattern and are sitting on 1552 wheels with a 0 offset which is way different from Sasquatch. Again, probably nit picking here as the tires are close in size but the are not the same As Sasquatch tires/wheels.

2. Yes, this rig is not lifted with Sasquatch lift but it does have the Sasquatch flares on and also has the crash bars removed in order fit these tires Without rubbing, and these crash bars are not removed on non squatch Broncos (including Badlands).

So, you may be able to fit 285/75s but you will likey have to remove the crash bars. There’s a few threads on this.

You’ll need to remove or modify the front crash bars. Ran the numbers and 275/75/r18 on OBX is pretty much maxed out with just a bit of cushion. I doubt a 0.7 lift is going to give you the extra clearance from the rear crash bar. Don’t get me wrong it may work with occasional rubbing but I’d plan on needing to modify crash bars. Sas has crash bars removed FYI so it’s not apples to apples in terms of clearance.

here’s a 33.2x10.8 tire turned with crash bars set to 18.5 inches from the spindle (dimension confirmed at factory)
