I'm planning on doing the old man emu bp51's when they come out so I'm trying to avoid buying full suspension kit until those cover out, but I have considered doing that. It just feels weird to buy coil offers twice.
That's fair. I don't plan to change again so I'm going with the "1/2 squatch" or "self squatch" approach

I’ve tried to search a few different ways, but no luck. Anyone try 275/80R17 on a Black Diamond stock suspension? I am still waiting on mine, but looking forward to taller than stock 32” tire on stock steelies.

Thanks!

I went with a 285/65/18 on wifes Bronco. They change the way it rides.Seem more planted. But the tires look real small

I was thinking about going this way given the limited number of 275/70-18. Seeing your photo makes me reconsider this option. I wanted to stay away for the heavy E-rated tires.

Those are about .1" smaller than the stock sasquatch tires. Everyone who I've seen go up that high in size have also had different rims... although since it is a skinnier tire than the 315 you may be alright

What's the back spanning on those wheels?

Wheels are old school AR Outlaw II's. 17x8 with a +18mm offset. The back spacing is 5.21".

Can’t wait to see how it looks. What size did you decide to go with?

Just got the Toyo open country AT3's in 285/75r17 in load range C put on. The fit great no rub lock to lock forward and back and based on how much space there still is there shouldn't be any problems at full compression (although hasn't been able to test that yet). I know its just an inch difference but driving it feels a whole lot taller but still just as stable. I will eventually adjust the tire size via forscan.

So yes 285/75r17 will fit on a non sasquatch black diamond!

The front started at 36.5 inches to the bottom of the fender flare and after install it was 37.5 inches.

The rear was at 37 5/8ths, and after was 38.75 inches to the bottom of the fender flare.

If y'all have any questions I'll try and answer them although I've put less than 10 miles on them at this point so I won't be a good judge of how the specific tire performs.

Looks great! Thanks for passing along the info a pics. Interested to know your opinion on another inch of tire. Like a 34x10.5x17 if it would fit, no rubbing lock to lock.

I wish I could find KO2s in a 295/70R17, but they are backordered everywhere I look. I also wish they were C load rated.
I wanted the 285/75-17 for the height (33.9 x 11.2) and C load range.
EVERYTHING was back ordered for months.
I started looking at other sizes....same back order issues.
Then, 5 of the 35 X 11.5 x 17 Toyo AT3 showed up on Summits web site ... dude , I jumped on them so fast!!! LOL
They are load range C also.
I figured I could live with the extra .6" of height.
Manage to score my Methods pretty quick too, they had just been released in my color and offset. (17 x 8.5 ... +35mm)
Results:
Base non-Squatch NO LIFT

Thats awsome do you think those would have fit with your stock wheels or is the 35 off set a necessity?

34x10.5x17 are about .2 inches bigger than 285/75/17 (which are 33.8 inches tall). So they would fit fine, I was thinking about those but the price increase wasn't really worth it for me for what really amounts to .1 inches of vehicle height.
