Currently in process of switching out all speakers in my 23 Black Diamond sub delete
1.Infinity REF-4032CFX in dash[ 600 hz bass blockers are on order]
2.KICKER 46CSC674 6.75 in mabbett pods ( originally tried Focal but they didn't fit)
3.Focal RCX-165 fir kick panel( waiting on kick panel adapters to install)
Most likely doing Stinger tailgate sub( approx.$475-500) and going to do a 5 channel amp..don't know if I will do install or a shop because I'm not to confident in being able to tune amplifier.
I see so many different 5 channel amplifiers and wondering which ones people are using for their Broncos...saw Stinger 5 channel as being decent priced but don't know much about it...many are recommending using Audiocontrol LC-5.1300 but might be more than I'm willing to spend.
Would probably like to spend anywhere from $250-600 on a 5 channel amplifier so I'm open to suggestions and would really appreciate it. Don't know if I really need DSP as that might be out of reach at my price point. Hoping to get system louder..I listen to a variety of music...90s grunge, rock, dance music, new wave, etc

I was going to suggest JL Audio XDM700/5 if you needed something weather resistant or AudioControl LC-5.1300 for more powah…. but you called out one of those specifically by name as being over-budget so… new plan.

At that price point you’re probably looking sub-800 watt and without any DSP features. I guess the real question is how much juice that Stinger requires, and I’ll admit I know almost nothing about it. Though at that price point and considering it’s attached to the tailgate… it is probably a 12”… which means anywhere from 400-600 watts.

The Kicker CX660.5 is the first thing that came to mind, but it only has a 300 watt sub channel. JL Audio RD900/5 would work but that’s slightly beyond your budget. AudioControl ACX-650.5 is another option, but that may also be a sub-400 watt sub channel.

Eh I don’t know. The price point puts you in somewhat of a rough spot. A 300 watt for that subwoofer might be sufficient, but depends how much “bump” you actually want.

1000 watts for only $290 is super economical... almost suspiciously economical to be honest.

Anyone have any experience with it??

My suggestion. Don’t be set on needing a crap ton of power for bass. I run a Helix V eight DSP amp running 2 channels @120ch to a 2ohm dual coil Fosgate. Kicks ass. I really think a DSP is important for the Bronco. It really helps dial in Kick panel and bass. And if you are set on 5 channels, don’t waste 2 on the pod speakers. Use 4 for the dash and kick panels. And if you can find one with a band pass crossover you can take the high mid/highs out of kick panels. Really helps sound stage.
Here is a recommendation.

Remember you need load resistors on output of OEM radio. Unless the amp you choose has it built in.

I went with a Kenwood KAC-D8105, it's not going to win any competitions, but I'm super happy with it.

Not an all in one, but I’ll tell you what I came up with that’s in budget.

My front 4 and a subwoofer preout are independently DSP’ed and powered by an infinity dsp4425. Time alignment, phase, crossover, and fine tuned adjustments per speaker. For now my rears are small and just get head unit output. My dash speakers are not very sensitive (kicker ks) and it’s plenty loud enough for me, but not extreme. Crazy good value at $130 from sound of tristate refurbished. Note: I used a kicker 46kisload2 ($25) to provide resistance to the head unit.

To power my sub, I bought a kicker 46CXA4001 for $120 (also refurb). It powers a 12” kicker comprt at 1 ohm in a custom down firing enclosure platform I built.

You could pick up 2x the infinity dsp if you want more to your rears, or there is a similar 8 channel JBL I’d look at.

I used a $27 Dayton Audio iMM-6 calibrated mic and an iPad to help tune the system. Im sure a professionally tuned system with much more expensive audio control gear would be even better, but I’m very happy with my budget build and glad I didn’t skip the dsp.

I went with a Kenwood X802-5

50Wx4 + 500W - sounds great, easy to configure. I installed it in the glove box and fit, ahem, like a glove - primarily because I'm lazy and it was easy to wire to there and get at after the install for tweaking.
