Based on this from Ross, Christmas might be reality.

MIC hardtop production for unscheduled First Edition builds will resume late this year with the updated hardtop design. I wouldn't expect this until probably November, as the new tooling still needs to be completed, installed, and tested before production of the new hard tops can begin. Once that happens, they have committed to building new MIC hardtops for all units that have already been delivered, then the "bad batch" Broncos trapped at MAP, THEN for production of new units.

So I think September end is way too optimistic for me to get my #BadBatchBronco. This Bronco is my 30th birthday present to myself (9/27). So since it will likely be late, what stupid thing am I going buy in the meantime and justify as a birthday present?

For shipping the replacement hard tops to dealers…. Each dealer has probably no more than 2 or 3 tops to replace. I’d almost bet that the new ones are trucked ON new soft top orders- dual top style- and then changed out with the soft top in the dealership. 2 doors- they will have to be shipped though.

Once production is running, the delivered Broncos will probably only be a Monday and Tuesday of production and then Wednesday’s roof production starts going to us. Just a hypothetical and hopeful guess.

Once upon a time, back on 06-29 when my dealer told me my Bronco was showing "produced, awaiting shipment" in vehicle visibility, I was also hoping to have my Bronco as my bday present (08-26). Now I suppose I can only hope there'll be no more kicks in the teeth from Ford, and maybe it'll be my Christmas present.

If they "anticipate" availability to start in October for delivered Broncos, that will likely mean that our Broncos will get replacement tops starting mid/late October (best case). I've also seen that Ross stated that the new tops won't be available until November, which doesn't line up with the above statement. I don't see how any of us see our Broncos before November, and the vast majority of us will probably not see them until December. I get it. . .Ford is trying to stay optimistic with the timeline presented to us, but as we all know, they haven't been able to deliver on any of the timelines they have previously laid out for us. This is sad, but it is going to be the reality for many.
