Right, that was my point in posting. I'm still hoping all us O.G. Bad Batchers get released from Dirt Mountain soon, but we all know how Ford' s "anticipated" dates have worked out so far. 4th quarter does include December after all😒
If it's more along the lines of later in the quarter then I say just send them out, then they have plenty of time to make the new ones. Hell a lot of us will probably just buy after market and not even want the Ford one when it is done.

I agree. I've said since the beginning of this MIC top debacle I'd gladly take mine as is, I can invest in some Flex Seal until a new top comes along 😁

FWIW I saw this posted on a Bronco Facebook group. Letters are going out to people that have already taken delivery of their MIC Broncos.

I noticed the only date for the letter is August 2021.
How do we know this is not part of the original 8/13/2021 announcement?

This letter is exactly what was stated in the original 8/13 communication. “You will receive a letter from Ford..”

Yeah I saw the August date too. Like I said, I just saw someone post on that FB group this afternoon that people who already took delivery of their MIC Broncos were starting to receive these letters in the mail now. My thought was since they're starting to get their letters, maybe us Dirt Mountain folk will hear something soon as well? And hopefully the part in their letters about "starting in the 4th quarter of 2021" for replacement roofs still means the October part of the 4th quarter, not the December part of the 4th quarter 🤞 😬

Well, my soft top orders just got slapped with another delay. Two new build weeks in the same day , this is a new low.

The Bronco Customer Satisfaction Program makes me think they are further behind than they originally anticipated. Giving a dealer up to $1000 per customer leads me to believe that this email coming by the end of this month (to explain delivery timing for Dirt Mountain) is going to piss off a lot of people. If shipping our Broncos with MIC 1.0 was a remote possibility they would have never released the current plan and held a livestream event explaining the process moving forward. The total cost for the new top, shipping, and labor is likely 2 to 3 times more than the $1000 that the dealer has access to in order to make us happy.

Ya, think??? There's a lot of evidence to suggest that there is no way that Ford is going to pull off the replacement of v1.0 MIC in any reasonable amount of time.

If they were to start cranking out a total of 200 Q/A passed tops to the dealerships and the Wayne Plant starting Sept 15th - Dec 10th , they might be able to pull it off. If they don't start delivering until 1 Oct and need to complete delivery by 30 Nov, they need over 300 Q/A passed tops per day.

Considering this new "customer satisfaction" program, that doesn't bode well for delivery of the tops by the end of November. I really hope I am wrong, but for Ford to kill this, they need to be able to hit 500 tops a day.

I just checked our order bank and it looks like every order that got a build date in the last two weeks has now been pushed back at least a month. Just when you think things are getting better, here comes another delay.

Not sure why all of these soft top orders are getting pushed, but I have a feeling this has something to do with the group of 1st Editions and other MIC tops that are now scheduled for next week. Ford has to get these Broncos build in short order and rather than build them once MIC 2.0 is out, it looks like they will be build with 1.0 and shipped off to Dirt Mountain like the rest of us to ensure they get built within the 21MY timeline.

In short, Dirt Mountain might get a little more crowded in the next couple of weeks.
I wonder if @PREMiERdrum can shed some light on any of this? 🤓

Driving home from taking the fam to the zoo today and I saw one for the first time. Not just one on a dealer lot that I got to drive, but an actual owned Bronco. Driving. Several curse words later (it’s ok, the kid was asleep), I wiped a tear away and drove on.

I feel for you, I've been telling everyone I didn't care about being one of the first people to get their Broncos until I was lucky enough to get scheduled and build in June. Now I do, and if I see one in the wild before mine is delivered I will not buy it. (not really)

Stay home. It’s your only hope!
