For those of us looking to get our builds/ drop from Wildtrack:

Have an option to order dual tops with the understanding that Ford will deliver the soft top with vehicle and the MIC later (let's say by Q1 2024 at the latest). When Ford reopens the 2023 order banks, it would then warn people that they will be behind existing dual top orders if they want the MIC.

The dual top would net against the $2,500 incentive. We wouldn't have to weigh paying $6-$8K for aftermarket tops.

Am I crazy?

The shipping costs for a mic top are cost prohibitive for that to happen. The larger issue is Ford cannot get enough MIC tops thru Webasto’s plant. I’m looking forward the the mod top production fiasco.

I agree that shipping 1 unit at a time LTL would be too expensive. Full Truckload shipments regionally, then distributed to dealerships shouldn't be that bad. They would need to get creative on the cargo area piece. Possibly move some final assembly to dealers.
