While driving to work this morning I noticed that the driver side AC vents are blasting out hot air even when the AC setpoint is set to LO, while the passenger side responds properly to the temperature setpoint - LO means ice cold. This is with and without dual zone AC enabled. Resetting the head unit, etc does nothing. Feels like a damaged TC that gives improper feed to the temperature controlled. Short of taking it to the dealer what are my options? I am still under warranty for a few more months so maybe I bite the bullet and take it to the dealer.

Might as well take it where it’s free to repair. Just degrease the plastics and go to town with protective tape on the plastics. Inspect reassembly well when done. Scares me every time I take our Fords in to local dealer. 2 out of 3 require some follow up. Missing clips, screws, loose oil filter, unmounted battery and improperly installed parts. That last 1 out of 3 trips is perfect.

You really need to find a different dealer then if you have so many issues with them

Just yesterday my AC out of the drivers side was blowing hot too...I've got 35,000 miles and this is the first problem I've had...I just made an appointment for the dealer this morning...

I do. Points for all 3 are gone. So all maintenance is done by me. Most repairs will be too. Will seek a new dealer when needed.

It’s not free when I have to return or finish the job myself. Hell your first sentence is contradictory to your third. You can’t give a warning on how bad someone will do and at the same time instill trust. What kind of crazy advice are you giving 🤣

It’s not crazy advice. Sometimes my wording may not come out right. He may have a great dealer. I simply say be prepared. I’ve reached a point where I don’t trust my local dealer. It may depend on the problem and level of tech they put on your vehicle. All of my significant work has been done well. Simple things were the worst.
Example. Bronco Sport. Oil service ends up with missing screws from lower covers. Loose oil filter on my Bronco. Window rattle repair was a joke. Battery swap ends with unmounted battery, tools left under hood of our Maverick.
What went well? On my Bronco the shock recall went well, pre collision camera went well.
On our Sport the water pump replacement went well as did the Rear drive unit swap.

I was just pulling your leg, I understand what you were trying to communicate, just sounded funny the way it came across.
