I run top tier fuel, 93 octane(only because it's tuned), Pennzoil Ultra Platinum oil w/ Purolator Boss filter(changed every 3000-3500 miles), change air filter every 10k, Corsa catch can, BG 44k Platinum fuel system cleaner every 7500 miles, tire rotation every 5000 miles and keep them properly inflated. That's really about it.

Change oil/filter every 3-5K with a good quality synthetic oil. Oil is the lifeblood of the vehicle.

I’m looking for any mods or products that can potentially boost the longevity/reliability of the 2.3. Anyone have suggestions?
We have 2 EcoBoost Ford’s, a ‘16 Focus ST and a 2.7 Bronco. The Bronco is only 14 months old so no problems with it. The Focus has 78k hard miles in it as it’s my son’s first car starting when he was 17. Change the oil every 5-6k at the most, only full-synthetic 5w-30. A new air filter every 20-25k miles and that’s it. Original plugs, pcv, etc. seems the most troublesome EBs are the 1st generation 3.5’s in F-150s. Lots of small things like coolant and oil leaks that add up to an expensive ownership experience. Otherwise, leave it stock, use Ford/Motorcraft replacement parts if needed and maintain it. Every EB owner I’ve spoken with that missed or chipped their engines has had issues.

None. Leave it stock and the entire bronco stock for that matter of looking to boost longevity/reliability. Oh and use 94 octane.

I was told by a Ford chemical engineer that specialized in lubricants that if you want to drive your car until you’re tired of it run Mobile 1. I have run it since and have had no engine problems. That includes in 2 Eco Boost engines. That and clean air filters, and I wouldn’t run any kind of tune. Do you really think you’ll notice 15 more HP?

Great info here. I added an engine cover to my 2.7.
