I don't know if it's just me, or if there's others that think the same, but I don't like the looks of the door opening while doorless. I don't dislike it enough not to remove the doors, but it just looks janky.

I hope the aftermarket produces door inserts or something to cleanup the appearance. Kind of like the door inserts for EBs but with easy on/off capability.

Nope not alone, the Roadster door inserts have been discussed extensively. The Bronco Sema build even had them. They are coming, no doubt and they will be very popular. I think most agree with you that Ford dropped the ball on the doors off look. It just looks unfinished , more so than a Jeep. The Roadster inserts are just a matter of time.

OK, I looked up the Ford Sema concept and I like the inserts on it. However, based on past performance, I don't expect these from Ford anytime soon, if ever. Come on aftermarket - here's an opportunity to step up and make a fortune!

Same needs inserts and oddly I have seen more companies coming out with half doors and none working on inserts? Maybe I have missed the insert threads...

You're correct, that having some type of insert to clean up the door opening! I think it look some much better. Also, an insert would protect the open door jambs from rock damage while driving! Count me in!!

I sent an email to Advanced Fiberglass Concepts and got the below response. We need to flood their inbox with requests for door inserts...pass it along!

"We have talked about it but have not confirmed making them yet. If we get more interest then we will definitely build them.
Please let me know if I can answer anymore questions, I am happy to help!
Thank you,
John

Consider this a 'Plus 1' in the Interested parties list. Bonus if they already come in the Body color.

I sketched this last night for the 4-door. Could do with some work, but not bad for 20 mins!
