Worthy to note that Apple has now released Tracker Detector for Android as well. It won't run automatically yet, so you have to scan yourself. But it's a start.

I don't see it yet as an option to download on my Android phone yet. That is why I asked. i will just add this to my list of things to check multiple times a day like the back door tracker and window sticker

Sorry if I missed it, but do I need an Airtag myself to get the "unknown accessory" alert? Or just have my iphone nearby?

theyre amazing honestly. If you are attempting to locate your item then everyone walking around with an iPhone becomes a sensor. Obviously this is pretty nefarious abuse of them by thieves.

Jesus, this is almost like the phone tracker from the Batman movie, but at least in that film Bruce Wayne was smart enough to have Alfred destroy it in the end.
