Someone who has taken delivery needs to do a walk around with a magnet. I'm trying to figure out where I can put my magnetic tow lights until I come up with a permanent solution.

aluminum and paint problems?

Ram, GM, and Ford trucks all use aluminum body panels. They've probably painted 10 million hoods, tailgates, and doors in the last decade. I don't think we've seen a large problem with painted aluminum.

My 98 ranger has an aluminum hood. It sits outside year round in WV. It was great till last winter the clear coat came off. That's it. No bid deal at all since I never wash it or wax it either. I'm not worried at all about the aluminum panels other than for strength, but that shouldn't be too bad either.
I have an 07 mustang gt and the aluminum hood paint bubbled it was a known issue that year cause the aluminum hood was cross contaminated with another metal at the plant causing oxidation were the aluminum turns a whit green flacky amd the paint bubbles
I have 2 friends with Ford Exploders that have bubbles on the leading edge of the hood. Both 2020 or newer. If I rap the hood and it bubbles will Ford not fix it saying the wrap caused it?
