Let me start off by saying I'm some what ignorant when it comes to car audio so bear with me. Here's my setup Kicker 47KSC speakers in the front, Kicker 46CSC 6.5" in the rear (found some PODs on Amazon), Kicker Key Amp and ForScan the rear speakers. It sounds really good, I'm not complaining. But I feel like I'm not using my speakers to the fullest. My question is, is there an amp that is plug n play and as easy to install like the Key but maybe a 6 channel or 4 channel but with more power than the Key?

The beauty of the Key is that it’s plug and play, but sacrifices power because of it. Any good amp will at least require u to get power from the battery which requires some work but isn’t what I’d call difficult if u do some research

Couldn't agree more.

To the OP - switching to a more powerful 4-channel amp will open up a world of better sound to you. The Kicker KSC and CSC can take a lot more power than the Key can put out. The Key gives you easy, cheap and small, but power and quality of signal are not its thing. I am also not a fan of the auto DSP, but that does not have any bearing on this conversation.

If you already have a Key amp, you should have the signal in and out covered. Like Copperhorse73 said, you will just need to add a dedicated power line and ground if you don't have one. If you do, you might need to upgrade to at least a 4 gauge wire. These are not hard to do, 30 minutes of YouTubing and you will be ready. You could also add a subwoofer if you are going to add an amp. If you were to drop in a decent 5-channel amp with a sub, you will be amazed at the difference.

Thanks for the info. I'm definitely gonna have to do some research on this. I'm not interested in adding a sub. I just want to improve on what I got and get my money's worth out of the Kicker speakers.

When you say "If you already have a Key amp, you should have the signal in and out covered." Are you talking about the plug n play wire harness from the radio to the key amp? So I would eliminate the key amp and use that already supplied harness to connect a more powerful amp to. Would I be able to directly plug in potential amp to plug n play wire harness or would o have to splice amp wires into harness? Then run my power and ground wires. The less cutting and splicing the better. Thanks again.

One of the reasons the Key 200.4 is so popular is also its diminutive size, opening up a lot of mounting possibilities. Amps with more power are going to be larger so do make sure to review their dimensions during your search to verify a given candidate will fit in the desired location.

You are going to have to do some cutting and wire stripping. I don't think that the plug for the key will fit even another kicker amp.

But you have the wires that carry the signal to the key and then the wires that carry the amplified signal to the speakers all in one place. With the key sitting in the middle. I'd just cut off the plastic connectors and attach the wires directly to the new amp. If you put the key under the dash or someplace like that, now you have to figure out where the new amp is going to go and can you get the signal in and out of it.

Then you have to adjust the amp controls for gain, levels, etc.

You could check with wherever you got your current harness from and see if they can help with another harness.

#1 thing to do to get better sound from ANY sound system in a Bronco is sound deadening. This will reduce outside noise and allow the sound to properly resonate. You could get the most powerful amp and best speakers/sub and it will be meh if you don't do the proper prep for the sound waves to do their thing. This isn't just my opinion but based on research from numerous high end audio companies.
