Android Auto audio glitching out during camera swaps or "check rear seat for occupants"

I've noticed my phones android auto audio connection will glitch with a sharp electronic noise whenever the computer switches between normal driving mode and going into reverse or turning the car off. It makes a sharp squeal like when you plug in a speaker. Today it occurred when driving down the road after I clicked on the screen (can't remember exactly what it was) and the noise was louder, followed by a sharp "click" across the speakers, and the whole infortainment system died, and after a few seconds it rebooted.

The phone was plugged in via USB C at the time, however it has occured during plugged in or wirelessly. Haven't intentionally missed any updates or anything for my "High" trim.

I can only imagine it's due to bandwidth being "full" as G maps, Audible, Gaia maps, and trail app were accessing data (only G maps and audible was "active"). Can't figure out how to deselect the data sharing for those apps, but if that's the answer please let me know how to do that.

Anyone run into this before?

Yeah that is the glorious "updates" Ferd is rolling out. Been happening to me since last year and patiently waiting on the "rockstars" to fix it

Agree!! I'm hoping it does get resolved "by the end of this year". #staypumped lol

This has been an intermittent issue for me as well. It went away until a couple days ago again.
Sometimes I have no cameras until I do a full restart of the Sync panel.

This started for me yesterday. It's super annoying. I just installed new Diode Dynamics lights and was wondering if it was related to that, but doesn't look that way

Nah, seems to be pretty systemic regardless of mods. Which is rather disappointing

Mine does this all the time, constantly getting worse. You can see the camera lag when it happens usually. Always happens when you put it in reverse but it'll just intermittently happen as well. Also happens with my wife's iPhone and Car play. Have seen a lot of posts about it but usually they just die off with no resolution.

Briguy, that sounds exactly like what mine is doing as well, just with Android auto.

And yeah, all I have found is that there is no fix or acknowledged issue.

The worst part is it is basically unusable for calls now. I either hear a robotic voice where I cannot hear the person I called. Don't have this issue with our other car at all.

I used to have an issue where any calls I placed via Bluetooth would give me 0 noise or audible tones until I hung up and called again. That at least seems to have gone away recently for me.

Said it was an ACM update and it could take a couple hours. Super pumped too, wasn't thinking there would be anything to actually do except make a note. Fingers crossed.
