Considering the weight savings, and the fact that I can probably go without it until my first tire rotation, I’m tempted to just run without it until I rotate.

Anybody ever thought about not running the spare?

It's a pretty small percentage of the total vehicle weight, but if you are on the streets... Probably nothing is going to be able to pierce your massiveness.

Great plan, until it’s not. I’d never drive an off-road vehicle, without a spare, jumper cables, tow strap, shovel, handy man jack, etc. You never need any of this stuff until you do and when you do it’s never in a convenient place like in front of a service station.

I would never run without a spare, especially on a Bronco.

personally I don't like the look, but there will be several spare delete kits available by 3rd party vendors soon, you can get an idea googling for what is offered for the Wrangler. You'll have plenty to choose from soon. The kits include rear camera relocation and 3rd break light from what I've seen.

Murphy's Law leads me to the belief that keeping the spare is the wise decision. There is greater utility value in keeping it than any aesthetic or fuel savings in removing it.
