Are flexible fender flares available?

Has anyone seen flares similar to the OEM ones but are flexible? I slid one into a ledge in Hot Springs and luckily it just scraped it up but these fenders are fairly flimsy so it could've done some real damage. I know cool guys run without flares but I'd like the paint protection without them being a liability.

The fenders are flimsy... the expensive, aluminum parts
