Take off the tint or don't use auto mode

You could just turn your headlights on and off with the switch like every single car made for 100 years.

Also, are you saying you tinted your windshield? That's very illegal in my state.

Even without a tint on the windshield, the sensor is stupidly sensitive. My dash is strobing during my drive to work every time the shadow of a tree hits the sensor.

It's just really bad with low sun angles.

That’s what it boils down to.

I can also go back to morse code, but mobile phones are so much more convenient, like auto headlamps. Also, I see so many people that are driving at night with their lights off these days. I'd rather have auto then not.

As for the legality of the tint, I live in southern CA, where you can get away with anything these days. Also, it's a 100% clear tint, so just for heat and UV deflection without any color.

Well, guess I'm going back to the drawing board.
It’s annoying though, you’re not alone. Minor one to me. Probably most annoying to the lower vehicles in front of us.

I have the same issue with clear ceramic tint on the windshield. After searching for a solution and having the dealer check it out, I’ve learned to deal with it.

Strange, I literally tinted my windshield 30% tint and I have no problems. Now I'll be mounting a dash cam in front of the sensor as well and curious how that will affect it

Did you use a ceramic tint as well?

Unfortunately probably not. Where I went supposedly had a good reputation and it was inexpensive but I left with more to be desired for quality.
I'm starting to see a pattern. The ones that have ceramic tint on the windshield are having this issue only, which means the ceramic is blocking more of whatever the sensor is reading.
