I realize if someone wants to steal something, they will find a way. However most thieves are looking for an easy grab and go.

I’m getting my Baja Designs light bar mounted to my modular bumper soon, and it seems like this could be a fairly easy thing to steal. I’m also getting my BD pocket lights installed, but those I’m a little less concerned on.

Any suggestions for slowing down/deterring thieves? I imagine threadlock might be a simple option.

Use specialty bolts and screws. Not standard 6 point or torx. But if they want it they'll get it.

Awesome, thank you! I assume I would need to replace my Bronco bolts holding the light bar on with these instead?

Any idea of the exact size bolt required for the mod bumper?
No idea on the size(s) needed. Still don't have a Bronco. lol

No problem - I just assumed a person with “bolt” in their username would know :ROFLMAO:

Actually I am in the fastener business. lol
That’s awesome lol.

Someone suggested putting JB Weld on the bolts to help prevent/deter theft. Does this sound right? I’ve never used the stuff before.

Red Loctite might help slow them down. A tack weld on the nut would be better.

Stupid question - that weld would be permanent and I’d need to drill out the bolt to ever remove the lights?

Not a good use for JB Weld. As previously stated, a healthy coating of red loctite will slow them down, special fasteners or tack welding would be better.
