Hey folks - new here but used this forum a lot since I got my Wildtrak a month ago. Had the B&O in my 2022 F-150 Tremor, it was adequate and always wanted to upgrade, ended up picking up a 2024 Wildtrak Lux and found the B&O audio lacking even more so. Initially upgraded my dash, kick panel and rear speakers. Decided to add a 12" sub to the door and a Kicker mono amp. I really couldn't find any good posts on where to mount stuff so figured I'd share my project.
Was a full day job and about 105 degrees in my garage. I decided to use the AudioControl LC2i Pro to make things easier - money well spent, however the RCA output terminals were not set well/crooked so I am a bit concerned about the QA/build quality. It's working for now. I wanted the amp and Lc2i to be somewhat protected if I'm caught out in rain so under seat wasn't an option. After removing the rear side panel and removing the sub enclosure, I realized that the OEM amp was mounted on part of the sub enclosure and I wanted to keep that - since I didn't want to recreate the wheel on the 4th of July.
In the end, I ended up using my dremel to cut off the front right side of the sub enclosure, attaching metal straps to it to mount the gear. It's rock solid and the panel went on with clearance thankfully. I had planned on doing a full amp replacement but I'm pretty happy with the sound I have now - the bass is dope AF. I'm happy with it.
Super thankful to Ragnar.Kon for his youtube video, I found removing the rear right side panel much easier with his help - and easier than his video made it. Took 10 minutes and no broken clips.
