Thanks for the reply, I contacted them last week.I was told to call in to Ford, once over 30 days they can start to forgive monthly payments for this situation. Mine is also at the dealer waiting for front axle shaft. Drove 240 miles total. Talked to Ford yesterday and that’s who told me to wait until a full 30 days have passed. Then they will help you out. Ridiculous!
800-392-3673 is the number.
I now have a case number and they will make up to two payments.
From my contact:
Your dealership is working with Ford parts distribution center to get the part as quickly as possible.
The part is on back order, and there is not estimated date for shipment. But everyone has done all they can do to get the part in as soon as possible.
Ford will reimburse you for your vehicle payments for up to two months. As long as payments are current. You will just need to submit to me a copy of your statement with vehicle payment amount due and paid.(Please mark out any personal information or bank information) Once your vehicle is repaired Ford will reimburse you for the payments.
I apologize for this huge inconvenience.
Thank you for being part of our Ford family.
I reached out to them mainly to try and get parts expedited, but I certainly won't disagree with them making "up to two" payments.
I went through this with my new 2011 mustang, it needed a transmission that was on backorder and it took 4 months to get it. I am trying to do what I can to not have that happen again.
