Welp, Day 2 with my Bronco and it developed a thumping sound while coasting.
Any throttle input makes the sound stop. Could not feel any vibration, just the sound. Took it in (at 97 miles on the odometer) last night and they let me know today that the rear differential needs to be replaced. I'm in a loaner until they can get a new differential.
Not sure when they will get the parts.

It was fun for 97 miles:cry:

1/20/22 Update: Day 36 of waiting for parts.
Backorder with no ETA.

That sucks man. Had you even had a chance to try the locker or it just started making noise suddenly?

Just driving around on delivery day, and then went to work day 2.
Sounded like a rock in a tire at first, but then changed to more of a thumping sound.

Shocker, they ordered the non locking differential. They are blaming the wrong order on Ford. (of course they are)
They ordered the correct one now, but don’t have an ETA.

Just bumping this to @Ford Motor Company to see if this helps at all.

Almost 30 days with no part yet, my brand new baby is sitting in the dealership lot still broken.

The locker has a clutch? That is a new one. I have never seen a locker with a clutch. Limited slips have clutches.

Only passing on what I was verbally told by the service advisor.
I've tried looking for a parts list/diagram for the locker to see if there is any such part but I cant find anything.

Ill try to edit the post.

Did they at least give you a good free loaner?
Dealer has me in a 2019 explorer off the used car lot.
I'm not going to complain about that, but obviously I would just like my Bronco fixed.
Starts to suck more when you have to make car payment and insurance payment for something you can't drive.

Trying the twitter angle, tweeted @mrlevine @jimfarley98 @Ford to see if I can get a reply.

I was told to call in to Ford, once over 30 days they can start to forgive monthly payments for this situation. Mine is also at the dealer waiting for front axle shaft. Drove 240 miles total. Talked to Ford yesterday and that’s who told me to wait until a full 30 days have passed. Then they will help you out. Ridiculous!
800-392-3673 is the number.
