Hi all, picked up a 2D 2022 Black Diamond last month. Wife and I Love the Bronco!

Only issue I currently have is getting the auto door locks to operate when we walk away from the vehicle. I have the vehicle settings turned on but when we walk away after turning off the bronco it never locks the doors.

Has anyone else had this issue? I even have a friend who after seeing my bronco decided he would buy one too and we had the same issue on his…

Hmmm, I'm aware of auto unlock but not aware of auto lock. If auto lock is true mine doesn't work either. Pretty sure you need to hit the lock button on the FOB?

You need to touch the lock pad on the door handle, or lock it with the fob.

I just looked this up in the manual, as I was under the same impression as you.

The autolock, locks the doors when you start driving

Pshhhhh, here I thought the car was autolocking when I walked away from it. Good thing I don't trust anything and still hit the inside lock button on the way out of the car

Thanks for the response! I must have miss-understood the wording and thought it had a walk away feature. I’ll keep locking it with the fob when I park.

Count me in as one of the people that misunderstood this. Thanks.

Aww that truly sucks, I too was wondering why it doesn't auto lock when you walk away from it...it'd be cool of someome came up with an add on that would do that for you.

Dang. I thought you had the issue I have. A majority of the time if I step outside the vehicle with it running - it will lock the driver door on me. None of the others. It’s frustrating. But, I always have my key on me. I can’t figure out why.

My Mazda had this feature. You push the button on the door handle to unlock, you just shut the door and walk away and it auto locks.

The Bronco does not do that. The button on the handle locks, and slipping your hand behind the handle unlocks... There is no walking away autolock feature

Coming from a car that did the opposite, I have found myself walking away from my Bronco a few times and remembering that I had to go through the extra step of locking it.
