I’d really appreciate any feedback or help, I’m trying to see if anyone has used 4-door Badlands Sasquatch Bilstein take offs on a 4-door non-Sasquatch Outer Banks? Mine is 2.3L, not sure about the badlands.

I found some for a good price, but I’m concerned whether the weight difference is going to make my Bronco sit weird or impact the ride quality.

Thank you!

If you have the same motor size it should sit like it came stock. A slight rake to the front.
If they came from a v6 you might sit level since your a few 100lbs lighter. But most people like a level height so that might be no concern.
It will ride different, the Obx shocks and the sas shocks are different after all. From my test drives they were both acceptable with more cush going to the Obx but more impact absorption from the sas, that was my take anyway.

Thank you for the insights. I think I’m most worried that the ride will be too stiff. I’m not sure how it’ll feel with the badland sas springs on my lighter non-sas OBX

It’s stiffer, but not in an overly harsh way. Now, I was running the non-sasquatch Badlands suspension on my 2 door Bronco OBX, but with regard to the stiffness it should feel nearly identical to the Badlands Sasquatch suspension.

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, I am selling a lift kit currently that would give you either 2" or 4" of lift depending on how you configure it and what you want to achieve. It has both spacer and perch collar lifts plus aftermarket upper control arms for use with your Hitachi shocks and stock springs.

The Hitachi shocks are plush compared to the Bilstein's. In fact, the Hitachi shocks are quite similar in feel to the Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 suspension.

Let's not forget the factory yellow Bilsteins are suffering from severe rust out issues in just a few years.
They are trash, that is why they are cheap.

I personally would not use them even if they were free due to most likely having to replace them before their expected normal lifespan.
It's either a lot of work if you do it yourself or another grand$$ to have somebody else do it .. plus you're buying ANOTHER set of shocks.

Just get the Bilstein 5100, 6100 or Eibachs and be done with it.
... or keep the Hitachis and just get the cheap lift kit.

I like your signature. Life's too short not to drive what you like.

I was going to say something about them failing early. The Bilstein's are ok if you keep them warm and dry - LOL. I did put 80k miles on a set outside of a rust belt.

That said, I agree 100% that the 6100 and Eibach shocks are a better choice. I don't see the point in going with the 5100's if you are already dropping the cash on new shocks unless you are financially constrained to doing so.

Installing a new suspension is a fair amount of work, but it was certainly worth keeping the money in my pocket too.

I appreciate the feedback from everyone, sounds like I should just bite the bullet and go with the Eibachs!

There was a set of Eibach's for sale on here for $900, I don't know if they sold, otherwise Panda Motors had the best deal on them that I have seen at around $1500.

I am digging the Eibach Pro Truck 2.0 suspension, I would recommend you get aftermarket control arms and a trackbar relocation bracket or adjustable length trackbar (I did both the adjustable length track bar and the relocation bracket).

Good luck.

Like CitrusBronco said. Different, but the Badlands suspension rides nice. Only this I might add is unless it’s dirt cheap you might as well go with aftermarket like the Bilstein 5100-6000 series. Then you have some height adjustment. If you are going to have it apart, make it better.
