At my local Ford dealer today getting oil changed. They had 3 new Broncos with recalled Bilstein shocks for sale. They also had several new Broncos with Fox shocks which have replaced Bilstein. So they don’t have remedy for old shocks but there building new ones with upgrade? What’s gives for current owners?

The Stupid part is the recall is for the rear shocks..........they get splattered the most compared to front shocks. Eventually the front shocks will do the same. Short sighted on Fords part. All four should be replaced.

Adjustable Bilstein 5100 upgrade all the way around would be a better option.

The only reason they’re being recalled is because the reservoirs fall off. If the front ones were going to have the same problem, we probably would’ve seen it by now.

What did you expect? Them to stop building vehicles? lol They care far more about selling more than fixing the ones out. Every manufacturer is the exact same 🤷‍♂️

Also, Fox shocks aren’t replacing Bilsteins. The Fox shocks are only available on badlands for 2025 or wildtrak for up to 2024

Those 24 bilsteins are newer versions they don't look the same as mine on my 21. Mine the whole reservoir is welded on it looks like. That 24 looks to be only a smaller top section that is welded.

The one you can see in the picture is a front reservoir, not rear. Which is why it looks different.
OP didn't even get a good picture of the rear Bilstein reservoir which is what the whole recall is about lol

Just posting because dealership is still selling 2024 new Bronco’s w/ Bilsteins on recall while newer models have Fox upgrade. I didn’t think you could sell new car on recall. Here’s your money shot Ducati098!!

That is a front shock. Not the rear which are the ones being recalled.
Also like i said, newer models are not upgraded from Bilstein to Fox shocks.
Only certain models get Fox shocks, it has nothing to do with the recall.

As Ducati's mentioned, you're confused. Only the rear shocks are being replaced, 2025's and some late 2024's had the fixed Bilstein's, and starting in 2025 Badlands can be upgraded to HOSS 3.0 with the Fox shocks. Nothing really to see here...

Does anyone know the cutoff of the manufacturing date. I believe my Badlands was built 09/24. It shows no recall when I checked. Thanks
