What do you mean they aren’t working? The rear shocks on my 21 Wildtrak are not working at all. The recall says we have to wait until Q3. I need new shocks now. Will the dealer replace them now. I cannot be driving with them the way they are.
If you pay them, they will. The rear shocks on my 21 Wildtrak are not working at all. The recall says we have to wait until Q3. I need new shocks now. Will the dealer replace them now. I cannot be driving with them the way they are.
I haven't looked. The vehicle feels like a roller coaster is you hit a bump. The rear bounces up and down about 3 times. Scary at 65 mph. What do you mean they aren’t working?
Did the reservoirs fall off?
Well either way, I’m guessing you’re out of 3/36 since you have a 21, so you have no warranty. You’ll have to wait for the recall to come out until Ford will replace them.I haven't looked. I have a Ford extended warranty. See what the dealer says tomorrowWell either way, I’m guessing you’re out of 3/36 since you have a 21, so you have no warranty. You’ll have to wait for the recall to come out until Ford will replace them.
Or you can pay to have them replaced before then.
Stopped by dealer. Extended warranty should cover replacing with same shocks. Then when new shocks from recall come in, they will replace again.I have a Ford extended warranty. See what the dealer says tomorrow
Yeah your reservoirs (or at least the one) fell off.Stopped by dealer. Extended warranty should cover replacing with same shocks. Then when new shocks from recall come in, they will replace again.
Bringing car in on Monday. Service manager will contact Ford about replacing with Hoss 3.0. That would save Ford having to do recall later. See what happens. I don't see any reservoirs on my shocks
Just rears. Fronts don’t have the same problem. So, Are they going to replace all 4 Shocks or just the rear?
The recall states the rear shocks are the issue, but I don't want to go around with half the suspension replaced. They should match them all up and replace all 4.
Sorry, that's not accurate. Non Sasquatch Badlands are affected also. This applies ONLY to SAS equipped Broncos, IIRC. So you shouldn't be affected by it.
Interesting... I did not realize non-sasquatch had the reservoir Bilsteins.Sorry, that's not accurate. Non Sasquatch Badlands are affected also.
I get that, but most people will have 40K+ mikes on their vehicles and now you will have new suspension parts in the rear and the front will need replacing before the rear ones. When I have replaced suspension parts in the past I did all 4 wheels at the same time. Just makes sense.Just rears. Fronts don’t have the same problem.
I mean nothing is stopping you from paying for new front shocks at the same time and have them replaced. Ford isn't going to pay for them though.I get that, but most people will have 40K+ mikes on their vehicles and now you will have new suspension parts in the rear and the front will need replacing before the rear ones.
