Thanks. I'm hoping no rub with 37s and highest setting. I am running 0 offset aftermarket rimsI'm running 6112s, top setting on my SAS BL with BFG 37s. Stock wheels with 3/4" hub centric spacers. Ride is much nicer than stock SAS suspension. Have not driven a WT enough to say how the 3.0 Fox setup compares to the Bilsteins.
Looks nice. Out of interest, what snap ring setting did you end up with?Running 6112s with 37" BFG KM3 MTs on MY23 Badlands Sasquatch. I did the JKS Max tire clearance kit, and have 1/4" Bora hub centric spacers on stock SAS wheels. No rub at full lock. Love the ride quality of the 6112s over stock SAS Bilsteins.
Are the spacers required with the 6112's and BL Sas? I've been looking at this for enough lift to go 37's or 38's.I'm running 6112s, top setting on my SAS BL with BFG 37s. Didn't want to tempt fate so I put them on instead of getting wheels with more offset. Are the spacers required with the 6112's and BL Sas? I've been looking at this for enough lift to go 37's or 38's.
Oh right. I was thinking about method 703's w/35mm offset. That would give me about a half inch.Didn't want to tempt fate so I put them on instead of getting wheels with more offset.
Top on front and backLooks nice. Out of interest, what snap ring setting did you end up with?
I have 703s and 0 offset. with SAS fenders they just poking outOh right. I was thinking about method 703's w/35mm offset. That would give me about a half inch.
Yeah, actually I think Flip meant negative offset if he's got spacers. 0 offset would be almost an inch, so I assume that'd be close to what he's got.I have 703s and 0 offset. with SAS fenders they just poking out
My thoughts are that the stock SAS set up is a little soft & wallowy. Depending what setting you put the 6112's on you might find them less comfortable as the higher the spring clip the more preload (stiffness). The nice thing about the SAS shocks is the added internal bumpstop cushion & jounce control that would help with big drop ins vice just having a digressive piston that might bottom out. I would assume cooling would be pretty close as the 6112's with a 60 mm body v.s. a 43mm body with PB reservoir.I've currently got 6100/6112s on my todo list eventually, I'm not planning to go to 37s but I'm willing to give up the more extreme end of the ESC-V performance for a more comfortable ride. I generally keep it below 40mph on the trails so I feel like the haul-ass design of the sasquatch suspension is a bit much for me.
Does my logic track?
thank you! its low on my priority list, really im not hauling ass all that often, i'd like to smooth out my ride on the street AND the trail. I have no need for extreme performance so, just optimizing in another direction. it's possible the 5100s are a better fit, but i did want to incase the front preload now that ive got a winch on the bumper. ill probably hold off a while yet and definitely try and find an opportunity to drive a bronco thats been upgraded to driveMy thoughts are that the stock SAS set up is a little soft & wallowy. Shocks/springs / ride quality are all subjective just like exhaust sound. YMMV
