Hey guys, I'm looking for some input from anyone who has replaced their rear diff cover as far as how to remove 2 brake line brackets that are mounted on 2 of the diff cover bolts. It's not a smaller screw that you remove through that hole so I'm hoping someone has done this before as its not something I want to break by accident.

I just pried them off. They just snap over the studs like most small engine sparkplug wires. I have to make new mounts for them because they will not work with the Metal Cloak diff cover.

I was unsure at first too. Just pull.

I installed the ARB and I had to move the stud bolts up to the next holes and slide those clips up. Due to the fact that they are recessed - I had to add a few washers to get enough grip on the bolt head to torque it back to 17 ft lbs. ARB hex bolts to 25.

Not sure if this was the best solution, but I’ll check the torque on them in a few hundred miles.

Hi...can you take a pic of your new brakeline mounts? I am at the Ford dealer to replace the OEM Diff Cover with the MetalCloak, and the studs are tooo short.

I called MetalCloak, and "Bobby" went to check their Bronco. Metal Cloak did not reattach or secure the brake line, and said they go off-roading with it loose. Hard to believe. @Metalcloak

I am not comfy with the line being un-supported, and don't want it clanging around.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I went ahead and welded studs onto the new diff cover.
