I do not write reviews lightly, especially long ones, but the Broaddict TrailDeck Slide Out Tailgate Drawer deserves a real, honest breakdown from someone who actually uses their gear, not just installs it for photos. First and foremost, I ordered mine back when this product was still on preorder. That alone can feel like a gamble sometimes, but right from the beginning, the experience was solid. They gave me a clear estimated ship date, no vague promises, no runaround. When that date came, I immediately received a shipping notification right on time. That already set the tone for how the rest of the experience would go. Delivery was fast, the packaging was clean, secure, and everything arrived in perfect condition. No bent metal, no missing hardware, no drama.

Installation was honestly one of the easiest installs I have done on my Bronco. It is just eight bolts. That is it. No cutting, no drilling, no weird modifications. Everything lined up perfectly with my Bronco cargo area, which I really appreciated because nothing kills excitement faster than fighting parts that do not want to fit. The install was straightforward and intuitive, even if you are not someone who wrenches all the time. Once installed, it felt immediately solid, not flimsy, not questionable, just sturdy and well thought out.

Now let us talk about real world use, because that is where this thing shines. I have owned this slide out table for just under a year now, and it has been used a lot. This is not a garage queen accessory. It has seen sand, dirt, spilled coffee, heavy loads, cold nights sitting on the tailgate, long days at events, grocery runs, and random everyday life stuff. The drawer slides are still incredibly smooth, even after all that. No sticking, no grinding, no feeling like it is wearing out. It still slides out effortlessly, even when loaded.

The table itself is solid. And I mean solid. It does not flex in a way that makes you nervous. I have leaned on it, loaded it, set gear on it, used it as a work surface, and it has never once made me question its strength. One of my favorite parts is how practical it is for everyday use, not just camping or off roading. Sliding it out when I have groceries or heavier items is such a game changer. Not having to lean halfway into the trunk or awkwardly reach deep inside makes a huge difference, especially when you are tired or in a hurry.

One of the main reasons I originally wanted this slide out table, and something I almost forgot to mention, is how it completely levels out the back when the seats are folded down. That alone was a huge selling point for me. With the table installed, the entire back becomes one flat, usable surface, which creates a massive amount of space for hauling large items. No awkward drop offs, no weird angles, just a clean, level cargo area. My original plan was to use this setup for camping and be able to lay a mattress straight across the back for sleeping, which I still fully plan on doing. I just have not had the chance to yet. Even without having camped with it so far, knowing that option is there is a huge plus and adds so much versatility to the Bronco. It turns the cargo area into something far more functional than stock, and that alone makes this table worth it for anyone who camps, travels, or just needs serious space.

The storage compartment that pulls out in addition to the table is honestly the cherry on top. Yes, it is a shallow drawer, but do not underestimate it. It holds way more than you think if you organize it well. I keep my tool kit in there, a small first aid kit, and for a while I also had a recovery tow rope and ratchet stored inside before I took those out for another setup. I also store my flag pole, flags, zip ties, bungee cords, and other random essentials that I always want with me but do not want rolling around loose in the cargo area. Having everything tucked away, accessible, and not rattling around is such a win.

This slide out tailgate drawer is truly one of my favorite purchases for my Bronco. I am not exaggerating when I say I show it off at every Bronco event I attend. People always ask about it, how it works, how sturdy it is, and whether it is worth it. I always let them slide it out, feel it, and see it for themselves because it really sells itself once you interact with it.

Now, in the interest of being fully honest, there is one downside, and it is not even really a flaw, more of a compatibility thing. The center handle fits right up tight to the rear door, which does not allow for your typical tailgate table to be used at the same time. I had to remove my tailgate table because of this. At first, that was a little disappointing, but honestly, the TrailDeck quickly made up for it in overall usability.

And then Broaddict did something that genuinely made me excited. They released a tailgate table designed to work in conjunction with the TrailDeck slide out drawer. When I saw that, it felt like a dream come true. That is exactly the kind of thing that shows a company is listening and thinking about how people actually use their products. I cannot wait to receive mine, install it, and start using both together. I fully plan to follow up with another review once that setup is in place and gets some real use.

I will also say this, I am not one to gatekeep products. If I find something I truly love and believe in, I share it. Not because I have to, but because I want others to enjoy the same quality and functionality. This is one of those products. I genuinely wish much success to Broaddict, and I hope they continue bringing us well designed, high quality gear that actually improves how we use our vehicles. This TrailDeck Slide Out Tailgate Drawer has earned its place in my Bronco, and I do not see that changing anytime soon.

If you are on the fence, wondering if it is worth it, from someone who has lived with it, used it hard, and relied on it regularly, the answer is yes. It has become one of those things I do not think about anymore because it just works, and that is honestly the best compliment I can give any product.

Nice review and I agree that it is an awesome piece of gear, for those looking to buy get it from Broaddict’s website and not amazon. It is a $100 less on their website then it is on amazon now, not sure why it changed, but it is worth noting.

I'm sure its because Amazon takes a big cut off the top & selling it direct means they're passing the savings on to you.

@broncgado you have a promo code that you can share? 🙂

I have other Broaddict stuff and can't say anything bad about any of it. Can't wait for the 2-door version of this.

I keep a fridge on the driver side full-time. How difficult is it going to be for me to access and take items out of the internal scissor jack storage area (not the day cooler area featured in your photo) from the right side of the slide out (so I’m standing between the slide out and the tailgate when the tailgate is fully open)?

Based on a response in another thread access to the jack storage area is tight but doable from the passenger area. It's slightly tucked under the deck when fully extended...may be able to get at it from the rear as you describe if you are tall and have long arms but fiddling with the plastic jack keeper nuts would be frustrating.

Here are some pics of how easy it is to reach the jack. I am 5'3 and can reach it while standing on the side and reaching in.

I will say though, that jack wouldn't do me any good as my bronco is lifted but if I needed to reach it to help somebody else out I could just as easily.

Thanks Rusty! I did take note that the Amazon price is $100 more than going directly to their website.

If people want the convenience and ease of ordering from Amazon here is my link:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FY1LZM5...4E8DF754A9D1A4_afap_abs&ref_=aa_maas&tag=maas

But I fully support taking the discount directly from the website.

Got it. Thank you for that information. This is my _only_ concern with this product. I am thinking I should have purchased when it was on pre-order - oh well!

Thanks for the additional photos and information - that’s the best photo I’ve seen for what my concern is

I could see that access being a pain to get with those knobs. But if it’s an emergency, you don’t have a choice… I still have my factory jack in here because I haven’t found a bottle jack that will fit in there and not leak on its side (been looking for an old Toyota bottlejack). I have a 4” block of wood I put the jack on top of and that’s worked for me thus far, but I’d prefer something better

the more I think about this, the more I believe i need to move on to a different jack and stop concerning myself with the ability to access that space. It’s just hard because there is limited storage in these vehicles

Thinking about this for tool storage. I have a bag now and takes up space.
How noisy is this any creaks or squeeks while driving?
The drawers are they metal or have lining or able to line so tools dont slide all over the place.

Nice review! I worked with them on the first couple of iterations. My feedback was well received and they did a great job addressing everything and making improvements for the final version! I have a new one sitting in my garage to install. Just need to fix my OEM sub rattle before I throw it in there.
