Now I haven't tried a rare earth magnet, but your common fridge level magnetic calendars, pizza menus, and tourist trinkets fall straight to the floor. I guess you're just gonna have to trust me on this. Now the top and sides, they are a common ferrous material, but the fridge is inset into the cabinetry, and so not convenient for that purpose.
