Its marketing. You will be absolutely fine without. You get the clearance, tires, lockers gearing and the armor with squatch so you are golden.

if anything the sway bar disco may prevent you from going some places that a squatch badlands with disco could go. But that remains to be seen. A sway bar disco is likely not nearly as important on an IFS vehicle both from a comfort and articulation perspective. Need some real world testing of a bronco vs bronco with and without sway bar disco. Hopefully, The Fast Lane Truck or similar site will be all over those type of videos. Would love to see a wildtrack vs a squatch badlands vs a jeep Rubicon!

I have a 2.7 Outer Banks w/Sasquatch on order. It’s fully loaded with basically everything I’ll being paying for until Christ comes back and offers me a slot in heaven as trade, because this rig is that sick. I decided to go with the OB over BL because I wanted the nicer interior, and knew I wouldn’t be doing enough crazy off-roading to need the sway bar disconnect. In any case, here’s my question:

The only features I’ll potentially miss on this build are the Rock Crawl and Baja GOAT modes. That being said, how much will this actually restrict my off-road capabilities? I live in Alaska, so there are some pretty off-the-beaten-path trails I’ll find my way to, as well as several rocky beaches and sandy river flats, but not much in the way of Moab style rock courses. The most I’ll see of rocks on trails or beaches here will resemble the brief rock section we all saw in the most recent Tennessee Super Celebration videos—i.e. not over the top level intense (albeit, Alaska does offer very long sections of said rocky terrain). I think the 5 GOAT modes I’ll have will be more than enough for the degree of off-roading I’ll be doing, but I’m looking for feedback.

What do you think? Will the lack of Rock Crawl make that big of a difference?
This may have been mentioned, but you're fine without Rock Crawl... In fact everyone is fine without any of the GOAT modes (provided you have lockers and such). GOAT modes are simply a short cut where your Bronco will automatically set the vehicle up for what ever you select. Even without the GOAT dial you can manually select the options.

When did Ford start adding armor to the Sasquatch Package? It is not currently in any literature or video of which I am aware. On the assumption you are incorrect and cannot verify your claims...

Sasquatch™ Package
Includes:

• 17" Black High Gloss-Painted Forged Aluminum, Beadlock Capable Wheels
• 4.7 Final Drive Ration with Electronic-locking Front and Rear Axle
• High Clearance Suspension
• High Clearance Fender Flares
• LT315/70R17 BSW Mud-Terrain (M/T) Tires (35")

This is from B&P as of this post time.

If you Squach up an OBX for example, there is no option to get armor at all (these may ride higher due to less weight, depends on final spring selection during assembly weighing). A WT has basic armor but can be upgraded. BD has the heavy duty armor already, as does BL, it is available on base or BB as an extra cost.

if you want heavy duty armor, you might want to double check with your dealer unless you have BD or BL on order. If you want armor at all on an OBX, the aftermarket will be here someday.

Interesting, I guess I wrongly assumed the armor came with the squatch this whole time. That's a big negative for sure if you are in the rocks at all. I wonder how thick the factory stuff is.

Being that a SAS is a 6-7k Option Package, its kinda an additional "Model".
They may just be PRESETS, but the SAS should have all of them turned on for that money.
