I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
Such a distinguished man-about-town! Do you have leather and maple-infused beard oil and a special beard comb too!? (I haven't found beard oil I like yet that isn't either as greasy as fried chicken or smell like peppermint or Panama Jack)

I’ll just throw this out here, for what it’s worth. I have two daughters, 13 and 11. The older one said she wants a four-door Jeep when she gets her license. She is NOT outdoorsy at all. Meanwhile, when I showed the girls photos of what my Bronco will look like, they got mad and said it is ugly and I shouldn’t get it. The 11-year-old wants me to get a loaded, chrome-bedecked four-door pickup like the other dads.
Oh they'll come around....
90% of owners in 3 years will be non-offroaders driving to the mall. Damn shame. Just like the 4 door jeeps.

Let's not gatekeep lol

Got a few X'ers here for sure, I'm 37 here and am looking forward to customizing mine pinstripe grey. Love the fact that it's all modular and if I do hate any damaged panels it's easy to replace as well as the plastic roof won't scratch as easily as painted roof 🤞

I have no data to back this up, just observations:

1. Back when both Jeep CJ/Wrangler and Broncos (Gen 1, full-size, and Bronco II) existed at the same time, males drove both, but it seemed like a lot more females drove Jeeps than did Broncos. Also, remember that though you technically could remove the tops of Gen 1 and full-size Broncos, it was a major undertaking and lacked the convenience of a convertible soft top like Jeeps had. My hunch is that this factor made the Broncos less appealing to females, as well.

2. However, that was back when SUVs in general had yet to become grocery-getters and were still largely a masculine choice.

3. Since the last Broncos in 1996, the market for women driving “SUVs” (which means something different now or at least far broader in scope) has exploded. And during that time, Broncos have not existed, until now. Within this trend, the four-door Wranglers have captured many, many female motorists who wanted a compromise between the practicality of a Tahoe and the fun, convertible nature of a Jeep.

4. I expect the new Bronco to land a much larger share of the female market than previous Broncos did, especially with the four-door models and easily removable top and doors.
I think you are underestimating how much of the female Jeep market was driven by style. I want a capable offroad vehicle, but I want style, too. And I was considering a Jeep.

The 90s Broncos had no style. They looked exactly like an F-150 with a camper shell. So if lots of females weren't buying them, it was likely more about style rather than the convertible top.😁

Those buyers will give the Bronco the momentum to remain in production. If it was only going to be sold to hard core off roaders production would end in July and they would cost a million dollars each.

I'll be interested to find out what kind of person I am based on analyzing the Bronco demographic. I sure hope the demographic is kick ass. I've never really been kick ass, but really want to be.

I'm guessing the demographic is really going to be a bunch of "try-hards".

I guess I am old. At least older than some at 52. Back in high school, I remember we held anyone in high regard (car wise only, some were complete a-holes) who was lucky enough to have a Scout, Bronco, K5, Comanche, CJ or Wagoneer. It seemed that the ratio of guys to girls was pretty much 50/50 back then. I unfortunately, had a 1978 crap brown Buick Opel made by Isuzu, which I was grateful to have. (It was nicknamed "The Roach"). Part of the cool factor of the 4WDs I listed had to do with the fact that there was room in most of them them to carry all of your friends with enough space in the back for a keg and the ability for them to get to almost any place impromptu parties popped up, regardless of the location. I yearn for the new Bronco out of a sense of nostalgia and childish envy as much as anything else.

I think that the age of new Bronco owners will be across the board. I can see it being a status symbol for the >25 (probably the 2D more than the 4D), an alternative to the Jeep for DINKS, single crowd, those with young kids, and serious off roaders, and a great toy / bucket list vehicle for empty nesters that fondly remember all of the previous generations of Broncos. (This excludes the Bronco II, which none of us were allowed to have due to roll over and the fact that everyone knew someone who knew someone that died or was seriously injured in one)
JMHO and I could be way off.

Based on my thoughts above, many of the potential Bronco owners fit into one or more of the groups above. What does seem pretty clear to me is that the new Bronco will age well and will likely be a used vehicle that people think are cool and will want for many years to come.

Bronco is for anybody. Just like jeeps, everything from a sorority sister to a family of 4 and everything in between.
