I'm batting around the idea of creating a support group for those of us still waiting for their Broncos. Based on the talk therapy model, we can (drink) share our pain and (drink) listen to the empty stories of nothing happening when something clearly should have happened.

Folks, you know we need it.

I've got a few opening topics:

1. Making Compromises: learning to live with a 2.3L, 4 door, soft top order.

2. Cyber Orange is the new Shadow Black

3. Soft Top Erection Dysfunction and what you can do about it.

4. Leading the way over the boulder on foot.

5. Bright Sides: at least my Bronco hasn't broken down yet.

6. Halve-truths, untruths, porkies, whale-tales, lies, and damned lies my dealer told me.

I'm open to other suggestions. No need to stay positive. We are here to listen.

….And you start the meeting off with a “My dealer said…” quote to lubricate everyone with mandatory shots.

Haha, this thread nails how it feels waiting for something you really want. The whole idea of drinking and venting together might sound silly to others, but honestly, sometimes sharing those frustrations out loud (with or without a drink) does help. When we were waiting for our van last year, my friends and I would joke about starting a Waiting Room Anonymous just to survive the endless updates and dashed hopes. Joking aside, though, it’s good y’all are comfortable talking openly, even if it’s just venting about delays or car woes. Some folks take the edge off with a drink, but if it ever gets a bit much, you might look into Abbeycare for some actual support and guidance if moderation is tricky. They’ve got info for when casual drinking becomes more than just a way to pass the wait.
