I have had my 2023 Bronco in for TSB 242314 that is for wind, rain, debris and snow entering into the passenger compartment. The dealer tells me that Ford has agreed to replace the soft top but, it seems there is no availability and the parts are on back order with no date.

I contacted customer relations and opened a case and they verified that they did put in an order to expedite.

Anyone else work thru this issue and how did you get it resolved? I just want to put an end to it ASAP. its been since September. I even told them I did not care if it was the factory soft top or the hard top that seems to be available right now. Any help would be great.

Replacing the top is not part of the TSB.
Why are they replacing it instead of just ordering the TSB parts and fixing it?
The TSB repair parts are readily available.

I am only going by what the dealer showed me. It said to replace the top. When I went out to the Bronco with the tech he verified the issues and was concerned about the steps involved in completing the TSB. That said, it did say "Replace the top"

It says ā€œretrofitā€ the top with the soft top snow entry kit. The TSB is to repair the top, not replace it. None of the parts are on backorder to repair it.
Maybe they just donā€™t feel like doing the TSB? I donā€™t know, but the parts are available to fix it instead of replace it.

I get what your saying. the dealer the dealer showed me a transcript of messages between them and Ford. It said, and I quote "Conclusion... Replace soft top completely"

I could care less what top I have on the Bronco. I would prefer to have this issue over ASAP so, was hoping someone on her might have had some success with having ford just order them the hard top. Seems like it is much cheaper for them to do that but, there I go again using reason and logic.

I guess I'm thinking if Ford is willing to replace the whole top and it is not available then why wouldnt they just send a hard top that is if the consumer could care less.

Thanks for chiming in. I do understand the context of the TSB though.

Ah okay. I understand what youā€™re saying.

As far as the top replacement, theyā€™re only going to warranty what failed. They will not swap out a hard top because the soft top is on back order.

Normally I would agree but, They also agreed to replace the complete soft top and bypass the TSB. I asked the warranty administrator that I requested the hard top because the soft tops are not available. I should here back from them next week with the outcome. If a soft top becomes available magically that's fine too.

What exactly are the parts getting replaced? I have a tension cable on the left side that is a lot looser than the right. Out warranty none to mileage. We donā€™t get rain or snow in tho. Just more wind noise than the right.

They agreed to replace the whole soft top in my case. The TSB is for a retro fit kit. I donā€™t believe it needs to be in warranty to qualify. I would go make the complaint at a ford dealer and see where it goes.

The TSB is absolutely massive. It has you do a ton of things. I tried to download it as a PDF on my phone to post, but itā€™s apparently too big šŸ˜‚

Yes. 25 steps I believe and lots of cut, paste, glue and pray. The last tech that looked at it with me thought it was stupid and typical.

Mine was diagnosed with this TSB and it scares the shit out of me for some reason. The tech who diagnosed it showed me the TSB and even he looked shocked. He's a good dude though, but fish wire and gorilla glue?
